Hello all! Monica here today with a card using one of my favorite sets from the latest Joy Clair release Vintage Christmas Ornament. I've already used this set at least once before and you can see that card and post on the blog here.
I started by stamping three ornaments and toppers on the card panel in a light tan ink, so that I could do some no line coloring on my ornaments. I started with the lighter blue to trace the shape and color the ornaments in. I then added the darker shades to blend the colors so that the lightest color would be in the center. Then I used multiple shades of gray for the ornaments toppers. Once the coloring was done I then went to stamping the tree branches that my ornaments would be hanging from.
I then took the three images from the Vintage Christmas ornament set to decorate the ornaments and embossed them with white embossing powder. I love the look of the white embossing powder on the blue! It reminds me of how we used to decorate our winter wonderland tree a few years back. We used blues, whites and silvers, loved it!
I pierced little holes on the panel where the loop of the topper would be and then added some twine through the holes and taped the rest over the edge. I then adhered the panel onto my card base. To finish the card I used smaller pieces of twine to make bows and glued them to the tops of the ornaments.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look, until next time!
