Create a thank you card with an unintentional stamped heart

Welcome to December - you made it this far and we are in the home stretch. Thanks Giving weekend is a time of reflection and thank you cards. And this card came together in a surprising way. I love that about crafti9ng and creating - sometimes when you are just thankful for the little things, even bigger things happen.

When I stamped these two little twigs of berries onto my background, they formed a heart - maybe its just what I needed to see today, or maybe its what God wanted me to see. A subtle message from Him on a day when I needed it most. In my rush, there was a moment when I paused and took a breath - thankful once again as His promises come alive.

I created the background with a stencil technique and loved the effect. So it became a thank you card in a few seconds - quick and easy. The Thanks was stamped onto a piece cut off the side and then raised using foam tape. A few rhinestones complete the card.

Joy Clair and Rinea | Grateful For You

Hello everyone... Helen is here... September is almost gone by, Fall season is almost here. Inspired by my favorite season, I created this clean and simple card using newly released stamp set, Fall Greetings, Rinea products, and coloring with Leisure Arts Double Ended Markers.

I tried ghosting look technique with Rinea Ghost Ink Pad and one of the Autumn Foiled Papers Variety Pack. 

To create the background, I stamped the leaf branch from the Fall Greetings stamp set with Ghost Ink pad on the mocha side of the glossy foiled paper. Let it dried for about a minute, and then I sprayed it with 70% rubbing alcohol and I wiped it off right away with paper towel. I like the distressed look on the foiled paper.

And then, I cut it with one of the Pierced Circles Dies and I added it on a white card with double-sided tape.

I did the same stamping step with the sentiment on a piece of Ebony/Glossy Solid Foiled Paper. After that, I trimmed the foiled paper into sentiment strip and added 3D foam tape on the back of it.

For the foliages, I stamped the leaf braches and berry branch on a white cardstock with Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink pad and Green Oasis VersaFine Clair ink pad.

I dried the stamped images with craft heater and then I colored the leaves with the Leisure Arts Double Ended Markers and water brush that turn the marker inks into watercolor paint. I dried the watercolored image with craft heater and then fussy cut them with micro-tips scissors.

I stacked the brances together into a bundle and secured them with permanent adhesive glue, and then I tied it up with natural twine ribbon.

I added the brances on the card with permanent adhesive glue and then I added the sentiment on it with the same glue.

CAS Cards For Guys

Hello everyone... Helen is here again. And today, I would like to share these CAS cards for Guys with you all.

On my cards today, I use the Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set and Rustic Occasions Sentiments stamp set. Making these CAS cards for Guys is pretty simple and quick. Designs that you can create over and over again, especially if you want to mass-produce the cards for any occasions.

First for the background, I embossed the brown kraft cardstocks with woodgrain embossing folder. Trimmed them into 4" x 5.25" and then added them on top of the white cards with permanent adhesive glue.

After that, I added some white paint splatters on the background panels with white acrylic paint and water using fan brush. I simply flicked the paints on each card. Then, set them aside to dry while I was working the sentiments.

For the sentiments, I stamped the rustic wood frame from the Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set on white cardstocks using Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink pad with Mini MISTI. I stamped them 4 times.

And then, I stamped the sentiments from both Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set and Rustic Occasions Sentiments stamp set using Mini MISTI and same ink pad. It is very easy to center the sentiments inside the frame using the MISTI stamping tool.

After done stamping all the sentiments, I fussy cut them with scissors and then added each of them on the card with 3D foam tape.

Joy Clair Doodle Flower

Hello everyone!

It's Donna here, I created two cards using the Doodle Flower Background Stamp.  If yo don't have this background stamp, it is a must have in your stash.  You can make a card that looks like it took you hours to create.

Here is how I created my card:

My card is an A2 card, I stamped the Doodle Flower Background Stamp with versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added some distress ink to the embossed area with a mini ink blending tool, I took a spray bottle and sprayed the ink, which gives the look of water coloring when it is dried.  I stamped the sentiment from Joy Clair's Everyday Sentiments with versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Joy Clair and Clearscraps...Easel Gift

Hello there Joy Clair and Clear Scraps blog friends!  It's Kerry here and today I'm excited to share a project collaboration with Joy Clair and Clear Scraps.   Today I'm featuring the Clear Scraps Vintage Wood Phone Stand.  Not only can this wood piece be a cell phone stand, it can also be a card stand (for photos) as well as a little recipe card easel or, in this case, an "End of the school year" photo stand.  I know that this time of year brings all the feels for many families and the "Last Day of School" photos have been flooding my social media pages.  They're so adorable.  Why not capture the image, print it and gift it to someone special?  This easel is the perfect showcase for that photo!  As for me as a kindergarten teacher, I would be thrilled to prop up a little class photo on this easel and set it atop my desk on the first day of school.  A little reminder of all the growth to come!

To create my easel, I started out by painting the easel using ivory acrylic paint.  After it dried, I stamped the little apple from the new Teacher set using Palette Black ink and then heat set.  After that, I painted over the apples a bit with a drybrush technique so that the apples could peek through.  I didn't want the apples to be crisp and clean, I wanted them to leave hints that they are there.  

After the paint dried, I applied some Copic coloring and stippling to the apples using a variety of red/pink/green colors.  After I was happy with the color, I flicked some ivory acrylic paint over it to finish off the panel.  To finish off the design and move on to gift-giving presentation, I cut a piece of red cardstock into a tag shape attached some ribbon and twine (and a red button) and added a punny little sentiment.  Now it's ready for its debut!  
This was such a fun project and I look forward to propping up a class photo on this easel when school begins!  Thanks Clear Scraps for the opportunity to play with your wood products.  I had a ball!  

All Dressed Up

Hello friends!

It's Jessica popping by the blog today to share a brand new card I made using a cut file from The Cutting Cafe along with a new release Joy Clair Stamp Set!!

Now, I don't have an electronic cutting machine that works with SVG cuts (I have an old, old Cricut! LOL)...BUT, did you know that the files from The Cutting Cafe come with PDF's so you can simply print and cut out? Cool, huh?  I love that!!

For this card, I used the "Fun With Dress Forms" cutting file.  I simply opened up the PDF file and printed it off!  Now came the fun part - decorating!  I used the beautiful "Martha's Flowers"  to stamp on the dress to make it look like a print!  Then, I watercolored the dress and added some "pearls" at the neckline!

Let's take a Spring Stroll...

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back to share a pretty little Spring card with you featuring one of our newest sets:  Spring Stroll.  This set includes many fun images to welcome spring: an umbrella, a floral swag, a bike and a pretty little heart banner.  It also has some great and useful sentiments.  

To create my card, I  started out by stamping the heart banner several times onto a piece of white cardstock. I colored it with some cheerful Copic colors and then set it aside to work on the bicycle. Next, I selected the bike to create a fun background panel. I stamped it in rich blue ink and highlighted with Copics and an opaque white Gelly Roll pen. After finishing the background, I stamped the bike and colored it with my Copics, then fussy cut the bike. I set that aside and started cutting out the yellow flowers. I used an old die from Quickcutz to make the flowers.  

Next, I doodled and cut some leaves to tuck around my bicycle and added a green Hemptique twine bow cluster that I could add to the design.  The final step was to assemble the card, add the Thank you sentiment and add the embellishing touches.  Mounting this panel onto a white card base finished the card off!

Spring Stroll in a box

Hi there, Martha Lucia here with  you!

Spring is here and I have it in a box! I am combining two products on the creation of this box, the first is the Popcorn Box Template File from The Cutting Cafe and the other is the Spring Stroll Stamp Set from Joy Clair Stamps.

Make this kind of projects is fun because you stretch your stamps and fly with your imagination. I love to make 3D's but during the last months I totally left it in a side and now I am really enjoying my passion.

I have a complete step by step tutorial of this project HERE on my Stampartpapel Blog and don't think that you need an electronic machine to cut your files. No, you can easily made all that you want just with your scissors!

Joy Clair Makes Stamping Fun

Hello, stamping friends!  Thanks for stopping by today.  If you're like me, you enjoy learning new stamping techniques.  By visiting us here on the Joy Clair Blog, you will see so many fantastic ideas and learn amazing new techniques.  I've learned so much from my talented teammates, and I know you will be inspired as well.  I hope you'll stop by every day to see what's happening here.  It's always a treat!This sweet little journal page (in my day planner) was created using a sentiment (Blessings) from a set called Martha's Flowers, and the gorgeous flowers are from the Easter Greeting Stamp Set.  I stamped the word Blessings on this page so that I could start making a list of ALL the BLESSINGS in my life (and there are many).  I just love the versatility of Joy Clair stamp sets.  They can be used to create fabulous cards, stunning scrapbook pages, encouraging Bible journalling, and SO much more.  I also created a sweet little matching bookmark using a fun sentiment from the Reckless Love Stamp Set.  I colored the flowers with my Copics and did some shading, and then I fussy cut them to place on the page.  If you're not into fussy cutting, the images can be stamped directly onto your page or card, etc.  Joy Clair Stamps are so easy to use, and SO much fun.  There's so much creativity awaiting you in the Joy Clair shop.

I also wanted to share these two cards with you that I created using the new release stamps.  The card above uses a sentiment (Thank You) from the Spring Stroll Stamp Set.  The second card, shown below, uses a sweet sentiment (Thinking of You) from the Martha's Flowers Stamp Set.  All of the stamp sets at Joy Clair have darling images and sentiments to help you make the most of your stamps.
