Hello everyone!

It's Ceal, here to share with you today. You know Valentines day is in a couple days and even though it is one of my favorite holidays to make and send cards out, some people dread this day. So today's card is for those of you who do not look forward to valentines day at all and hopefully this card will make you smile and make even giggle.

I was once in your shoes, I wasn't in a relationship so I kinda dreaded the day also and then I thought, valentines day is not really about having a boyfriend, husband, partner or significant other, it's all about love and I am up for that so I started making and sending cards to those I loved and it made me love the holiday once again. 

 

My card uses a couple different sets, #Single and Best Buds

To create this card, I started with a white top folding card base. I used a mask of a heart shape and placed it down on the right side of the card front. Next I used a paw print stencil and placed it over the entire card front, then using some blender brushes I blended gray ink through the stencil over the card base but leaving the heart shape mask while I blended the ink. I removed the mask and then stamped the kitties from the set Best Buds and then colored them using Copic markers making one of them a tabby because I love tabbies and calico cats but didn't try my hand at coloring the calico one, I just colored the other one gray like a Siamese. To finish the card  I stamped the greeting from the #single set which has so many fun greeting to make that card for those who need a pick me up on valentines day.

 

New Year Resolutions and Joy Clair

Hello Joy Clair friends.  It's Kerry here and I 'm back with another fun card.  I created this card using the new Light Bulb Moment stamp set as well as the New Year, New Me stamp set.  

To create this card, I stamped the Resolutions sentiment using Lady Bug Memento Ink and then stamped the sentiment and the check box using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  It's quite helpful to use a stamp positioner (I used a Misti) to place the images in the perfect locations.  

After that, I moved on to stamping the small stars and the dots.  I love how these little images help finish a card off!  I grabbed a yellow Copic marker and colored the stars to finish off the stamped panel. 

To complete the card, I mounted the stamped panel onto gray cardstock then onto a white card base.  Pretty CAS, no ribbon and ready to pop in the mail!  WOO HOO!  

Jen's Crafty Place "New Year New Me" Shaker Tag

Jen from Jen's Crafty Place here with my last project for Joy Clair Stamps. I have enjoyed my time on the Design Team for 2018. Thank you, Joy Clair,  for having me on the team and I will miss all of you!! Now on to my project.....

I used the stamp set called, "New Year New Me". I stamped the numbers on some white cardstock and cut them out carefully to enclose them in my shaker. I cut out the "2019" two times. I set them aside until I was done building the tag. I hand cut a large tag shape from some scrap paper. When I got the shape and size just right, I cut it the shape out of a page protector. Make sure you cut through both pieces of plastic. I then used my Project Life hot knife to melt the edges together to form my shaker.

I then added my shaker pieces: glitter, sequins, and some confetti pieces in various colors. I used gold, silver, black and white as my color scheme and my cut out numbers.

Once my items were added, I used my hot knife to enclose the items with a hot line across the top. I then stamped the count down numbers with light grey on a small piece of cardstock and then stamped "Happy New Year" over them with some black ink. To add some extra "SHINE" I used some mirror paper to line my paper and enclosed it in the tag shape. I used my hot knife one more time to seal up the tag.

I used a hole punch to punch a hole in my tag and added some gold and black ribbon.

The shaker is now complete! You can add it to any item you would like to give to your New Year's hostess/host. I tied it on a metal tin of cookies or you can tie it on a bottle of wine. Don't forget to sign your shaker tag if you want to make it a one time use, sign the back of your silver tag. If you want it reusable, don't sign it!

Jen's Crafty Place with "Pearl of Great Price" and "Lightbulb Moment" Bible Journaling Page

Jen's Crafty Place here with another Bible Journaling post. This one is a quick post using two new stamp sets from the new fall release, "Pearl of Great Price" and "Lightbulb Moment".  See the complete 2018 Fall Release HERE.

 

I found the passage in my Bible Journaling Bible of the New Testament. I stamped various images from the two sets with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and some colored from Ranger. I then colored the images with colored pencils by Leisure Arts.

 

To highlight my passages I use Bible highlights. I did the passage to match the stamping in yellow, the other important passages I highlighted in pink and the rest I did in blue.

 

That is it! I am loving the "Lightbulb Moment" stamp set for the "doodling" on my Bible pages. I know these will be great for not only more Bible Journaling but also for my Planner decorating!!

One Layer Card with Joy Clair Dwelling Place

Hello Crafters, 

Today I'm showing you a simple, one layer card using the newest Dwelling Place stamp set from Joy Clair. If you haven't noticed, I've actually never designed a one layer card to show you. I didn't want to over think this stamp set, and I wanted to show you what it looks like when you mask your stamps. There are so many adorable "Welcome Home", "New House", etc., cards that are similar, so I wanted to show you what it might look like using your new Joy Clair stamps. 

If you wanted, you could create a larger size card and use both house stamps, too! This stamp set is fun because you can create your own house by adding windows or sentiments inside of them. 

Directions:

Start by stamping your house in the middle of your card base. Then, using either masking tape or carefully positioned paper, stamp the same house on both sides of the middle image. If you noticed, I made sure to mask the sun on the right side house, as well as positioned both side stamps slightly lower than the middle.

Next, I used the "Home" sentiment on the right side by heat embossing it with some fun black glitter embossing powder. There are so many sentiments to choose from that come with the Dwelling Place stamp set, but I decided to keep it simple for this card. 

Continue on by coloring your middle house only. You want it to stand out from the others that are black and white. I kept with a simple three-color palet. The Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils are my go-to pencils, and then I simply enhance my shading by using a stump. 

Before I finished, I added a touch of embellishment by filling the windows in with some Glossy Accents. 

I told you this card was simple, but sometimes a nice one layered card can be exactly what you need to create. Plus, one layer cards make it much more simple to mail to the new homeowners! I hope you find the Joy Clair Dwelling Place stamp set as fun as I did, and create some adorable house themed cards!

Good Vibes with Donna

Hello everyone!

It's Donna again and I am featuring the newly released stamp set from the Everyday line called  "Good Vibes". I can't believe we are almost in the Fall season, this summer was a great one for me.  I hade some much fun creating my card, I love when I used distress inks and can create a scene.  

Here is my card:

Closer look at my card.

 

1.  My card is an A2 card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  I took some distress ink and used some masking tape to make the sand, masked off the sand and created the water with distress ink, then I used a cloud stencil to create the clouds,

3.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink,

4.  I stamped and used my scan and cut to cut the images from the Joy Clair Good Vibes,

5.  I then colored the images with Copics,

6.  I then took some glossy accents and put it on the ball and the window and lights of the Jeep to give them some definition (see pic below),

7.  After the glossy accents dried, I arranged the elements on my card and used some foam tape to pop the Jeep and the ball on the card.

Heartfelt Sympathy with Kerry

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and today I'm sharing a few cards I created using the new Heartfelt Sympathy set.  I started out by rubbing the ink off of some green Rinea foil (in the Peacock pack) with Ghost Ink onto a piece of white cardstock.  I did this several times to create a fun "mountain-like" design with the ink that was rubbed off of the foil and directly onto the paper.  After that, I designed the rest of my card.  To finish the design, I added a fanned piece of gold cardstock, splattered some gold and cocoa ink and then stamped the sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  I tied a piece of twine onto the card to finish it off.  

I think this technique really helps to add some fun decor to a CAS card. And who doesn't love a bit of sparkle with some gold cardstock?!

Since I had the scrap of Rinea Foil left from my previous card project, I decided to use it on the next card.  

I stamped the florals onto the cardstock using Desert Sand Memento ink and then rubbed some Gold Pan Pastel over the ink to give it a slight texture and the paper some awesome shimmery gold look.  After that, I stamped the sentiment onto the cardstock using Rich Cocoa ink.  

Repeating the twine design, I wrapped it around the base of the stamped panel and tied it off into a bow.  Pretty, Pretty, 'eh?

Finding the Calm and Hello summer with Joy Clair

 Today I have two cards to share with you featuring stamps from the newest release. For the first card I used both You've Got This and Doodle Lines stamp sets to create a one layer card.

To start I stamped my sentiment from You've Got This on my card base and again on a post it. I then trimmed the post it so that it was slightly larger than the sentiment area, then used it to cover the sentiment area on the cardbase. This sentiment is very close to my heart the last few weeks, with the bank I work at merging and the kids starting school!
 

I then chose a couple of Doodle lines and stamped them in a slightly rainbow order (because rainbows are cheerful!) over the front of my card base. I decided to add a few of the doodles in gray between the colors... mostly because my spacing wasn't the best! ;-)

Once the stamping was done I removed the post it mask to reveal the untouched sentiment... it's like the calm in the chaos around it.

For card number two I used the Life Is Sweet set! I absolutely adore the citrus slice in the set so I made a background on a scrap piece of cardstock using orange, yellow and green inks.  I also stamped some extras on another scrap and punched them out to make a scalloped on the card.

I added some black cardstock under my stamped panel to help it stand out against the border. As well as a little strip of black cardstock adhered to the inside of the card, so that it peeks out of the scalloped edge when closed. Added my sentiment and some Nuvo Drops to finish the card.
