Joy Clair Stamps and Jen's Crafty Place

Hi!! Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here with today's post. I used two new sets from the fall release, "Living Water" and "Thankful and Blessed".  These two sets have a lot of potential. They are great for fall, manly cards, reflection cards or scrapbooking and Bible journaling.  I decided to make a card that can be used for a male or for any fall event.

I stamped my images from "Living Water" onto some watercolor paper and then painted them with water and my Tombow markers.  I added water to the edges of my paper and tore them to add some texture.

After the paint dried, I cut around the deer image and tore the bottom to add texture to that embellishment.

I took some brown or natural colored paper and trimmed it down to 4 x 5.25 inch and ran it though my Sizzix Big Kick with a leaf embossing folder to add more texture and contribute to my fall theme. I added it to an A2 card-base with a black card front. I used glue to adhere the watercolor background to the leaf base, leaf base to the black cardstock and black cardstock to the card base. I used pop up adhesive dots to adhere the deer over my painted background to bring him to the foreground.  To finish off my card, I cut some pumpkin colored paper into a banner and stamped the word, "Grateful". I used the word stamp from the "Thankful and Blessed" stamp set. I added a button with some bakers twine to fill up the space and add some more interest.

"The Reason" Stamp Set by Joy Clair Stamps

 Today, I have a fun and easy Christmas card that packs a "WOW" factor! This is Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place with today's project.

 

I stamped the image from "The Reason" stamp set from the new release on watercolor paper and Stazon ink. Then I proceeded to watercolor the image.

 

Next, I cut out some navy blue card stock to fit the card and then trimmed off the center section to mimic the raise of the star.  I lined the edges with some gold foil paper and stamped the angel from the set in VersaMark and used clear embossing powder on it to blend in the background a bit.

 

After that, I stamped in VersaMark the sentiment from the set in the lower bottom right hand of the blue paper then used black embossing powder on it to stand out a bit more then the angel.

 

Lastly, I cut out a black and a gold star using my Cameo 3 (you can hand cut one if you don't have a cutting machine). You can get the FREE SVG of the star by clicking HERE. I glued them together for more stability and mounted it on a foam adhesive square. Mount the card front on an A2 card base and you are done! If you want to fit this card into an envelope either make a larger envelope or cut down your card before you glue on the star and make sure it will fit in your envelope before you glue on the star or Move the star down into the card a bit.

Farm Yard Fun with Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place

Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here with a playful farm card!! I used 2 sets from the new release at Joy Clair Stamps. You can view the entire release HERE.

 

These are so fun!! I used "Blessed Harvest" and "Barn Party". They go together so well! I made a side step card base with white card stock using my Silhouette Cameo 3.Then I cut out some patterned paper to fit over the panels that face forward.

Next, I used some Copic friendly paper and stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used my MISTI so if I didn't get a good image, I could just reink and restamp without lining them up.

 

I then colored all my images with my Copics. After I was done coloring, I cut out all my designs with scissors. (you can also use your Cameo or favorite cutting machine using the cut files provided by Joy Clair when you purchase your stamps) I like to cut with scissors (fussy cut), it relaxes me. I set my images aside and started to design my card.

I used glue and planned how I wanted to layout all my images. When I got them all glued on, I thought it needed some grass. I rooted though my die cuts and found some tufts of grass to use. I glued them around where I thought they would look best.

Lastly, I used the "Hay There" stamp to stamp my sentiment on to some white paper and mounted it on some red cardstock. Cut them both out and glued it to the center fold. That's it!

Good Vibes with Donna

Hello everyone!

It's Donna again and I am featuring the newly released stamp set from the Everyday line called  "Good Vibes". I can't believe we are almost in the Fall season, this summer was a great one for me.  I hade some much fun creating my card, I love when I used distress inks and can create a scene.  

Here is my card:

Closer look at my card.

 

1.  My card is an A2 card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  I took some distress ink and used some masking tape to make the sand, masked off the sand and created the water with distress ink, then I used a cloud stencil to create the clouds,

3.  I stamped the sentiment with black ink,

4.  I stamped and used my scan and cut to cut the images from the Joy Clair Good Vibes,

5.  I then colored the images with Copics,

6.  I then took some glossy accents and put it on the ball and the window and lights of the Jeep to give them some definition (see pic below),

7.  After the glossy accents dried, I arranged the elements on my card and used some foam tape to pop the Jeep and the ball on the card.

Papa's Jeep with Joy Clair and a Bible journal

I'm here again with two more projects using stamps from the newest release. First up is a scrapbook layout that I made using the Good Vibes stamp set, I just had to use the Jeep! The photos I used are from the last ride we took in my dad's jeep before they moved to TX. 

I started by stamping the Jeep repeatedly along the top and bottom of my 12 x 12 cardstock to create a border along the edges. Then I started picking out some pattern paper and cardstock to add some color and mat the photos.
I had to add the sentiment from Good Vibes- Jeep Hair Don't Care, it fit so well with the them. I had my hair in a pony tail, but that doesn't always matter in a Jeep. 
To finish the layout I added some wood veneers color with copics and some foam alphas for my title.

For my second project to share today I created a journal page in my bible. I thought about doing an art journal page since, but decided to color in my Bible instead. I used Fruit of the Spirit this time.

I started by carefully stamping my fruit using some post its for masking around words and other fruit. Once all of my fruit was stamped I used my Prisma color pencils to color. I used multiple colors or shades on each piece of fruit for shading ( I think the watermelon and apple turned pretty cute). I did the same for the letters in the sentiment using two shades of blue to help the letters stand out.

Jen's Crafty Place with a Halloween card, "Creeping It Real"!!!

Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here! It is that time again to start making some Halloween cards!! Joy Clair has a new set called, "Creeping It Real" from the New Release. You can view the whole RELEASE HERE.

I started with a 5.5 x 5.5 inch card base. I cut out a 5.5 x 5.5 inch black card stock card front. I gathered some fun Halloween pattern paper to make my card. I also found some scrap purple card stock to mat all my image boxes. I have the main square measuring 3 x 3 inch. (All measurements are for the outer boxes, the inner linings are all 1/8 inch smaller.) The right panel is 2.5 x 5 inch and the left panel is 2 x 3.5 inch. The small sentiment box is 1x2 inch.

After I cut all the papers and decorative papers I adhered them all together. I then stamped my witch image from "Creeping It Real" with some VersaMark and used some black embossing powder on it which I heated to melt the powder.

 I found a circle die that would go around my image and cut it out. (I used some scrap yellow patterned paper for the moon) I mounted it on the black square and added some purple faux enamel dots.

I then cut a scrap paper of some purple and placed it at the bottom of the orange paper and added some other faux color enamel dots.

I added all the elements with some foam adhesive squares for dimension and began working on my sentiment. I used a light white ink to stamp the words, " Later Witches" on my black panel and used a white gel pen to go over it for a hand made look.

Good Vibes with foiled paper and Joy Clair Stamps

Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here with another great stamp set, "Good Vibes" from the new release! I love this set! We happen to have a jeep so my husband will be getting lots of cards made with this set!

 

The card I made today is a great inspiration card for male (or female) especially one who may own a jeep.

 

I used some wonderful Rinea foil on this card for the jeep as well as the embellishments. 

 

I stamped the jeep on the Rinea foil and black StazOn ink. I let it dry. Next, I used a cotton swab to put some Ghost Ink on the headlights and the front window to resemble a glass reflection. ( Let it set for about a minute and then rub it off with a tissue.)  It is so neat to reveal some of the silver under the gold! Cut out the jeep with scissors, carefully.

 

Next, I worked on the decorations of my card. I cut some banners from silver and gold Rinea foil. (Actually, it is the same paper, gold is on the back and silver on the front.)Stamped my sentiment, "Life is Good" on the smaller gold banner and heat embossed it with some black embossing powder. Be careful or you can wrinkle up the foil with the heat tool. I think you can skip the embossing and just use black StazOn ink but I like to play with stuff to come up with new looks. The heat on the foil makes it wrinkle and even bubble. It is a cool thing if you aren't trying to get a crisp, shinny metal look!

 

I used some texture paper for my card front, added the banners in layers with some tape runner. I only put tape on the top so I could bend the banners up a bit to give some dimension. The paper is actually foil over paper so it bends nicely.  I added a silver band to the bottom of the card and added my jeep with some adhesive dots under the left and right part of the jeep leaving the middle tape free so I could bend it a bit for even more dimension.  Lastly, I added the black enamel dots from a bottle and let them dry.  Glue the front to an A2 card base and your jeep card is done!!

Adventure is Calling using the new Joy Clair "Good Vibes" stamp set and Rinea foil

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with a fun adventure card with a great newly released set from Joy Clair called "Good Vibes" along with some Rinea foil.  Joy Clair and Rinea foil are collaborating all month with some really amazing products!  

Here's a look at the Joy Clair Good Vibes set:

This set has 4 sentiment, and 6 images including a great Jeep, beach ball, surfboard, sunglasses and 2 palm tree stamps.  I really love the way the sentiments were drawn, especially the one I used "Adventure is calling and I must go".  It has such neat fonts and that arrow adds so much to it too!

Here's how I made my card:

1)  I cut a piece of patterned paper from a beach themed paper pack that has a woodgrain and striped background.  

2)  I stamped the jeep, surfboard, and the sunglasses on white card stock, and then stamped the jeep and sunglasses again on silver Rinea foil.  I stamped the ball on the same patterned paper.

3)  I cut the glasses out of the white card stock and the lenses from the silver foil to paper piece inside the frames.  Then I stamped the 2 palm tree images in Staz-on ink inside the glasses lens, directly onto the Rinea foil.  It's best to use a permanent ink like Staz-on so you don't get any smearing.  I also cut out the windshield for the jeep from the silver foil to get a nice reflection on the windshield.  

4)  I fussy cut the jeep, the ball and the surfboard out, colored the jeep with Zig Clean Color markers, then added the ball and surfboard to the jeep.  I used foam tape to pop up the jeep for more dimension.  I added white gel pen to the front of the jeep and a on a few places on the jeep for light reflections, then added a little Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to the parts of the jeep that would be shiny like the mirrors, lights, and bumper.

5)  Lastly, I matted the patterned paper on black and then on a A2 size piece of textured Rinea silver foil paper.  It looks very cool in person with all those stars, almost looks like that metal you see on manly trucks for their tool boxes in the back of the truck.
