I Adore You!

Hello everyone,

It's Donna here with a cute Valentine's Day card or you can use it for a friend or family member to let them know you love and adore them.  I am using the Joy Clair Stamp sets, Valentine Background Builder, Best Buds and Love Quotes.   If you have not check their website, they have some very nice Valentine, Friend, and Love stamp sets, you can see the whole line of love and friendship stamps here.   

Here is my card and how I put it together:

Closer look at the card

1.  My card is an A2 card, measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  I cut a panel at 4 x 5 1/4, I stamped the love stamp from the Background Builder stamp set, and used my stamperatus to stamp the image down the panel so that everything was even,

3.  I die cut a heart and stamped the sentiment from the Love Quotes stamp set using Versamark and heat set the sentiment with black embossing powder,

4.  I then stamped and cut the cute image from the Best Buds set, I used my scan and cut to cut them out and then colored them with copics.  I used some foam tape to pop them up onto the heart and adhered the heart to my card.

Love how my card turned out, clean and simple but adorable!

Happy New Year Rainbow Card

Hello everyone... I cannot believe it that New Year is in 10 more days!!! This 2019 has been a wonderful and also challenging year for me. I know it will be a super long list to write down what GOD has done and taught me in this year. And I know well that God has not done with us yet and I am so looking forward to see and experience what He has stored for me and my family in 2020.

Today, I have this clean-and-simple New Year card. I would like to start the new year with some colors... what is more colorful than rainbow, right? The New Year New Me Stamp Set is perfect for any New Year themed projects for sure.

I use the Kaleidacolor Bouquet In Pad to stamp the colorful Happy word on the background. I stamped them directly on a white card base one color at the time. Since it is Kaleidacolor ink pad, the ink strip pads close to each other in one case, so I cover the ink strip pad with post it note so the color won't blend each other.

For the sentiment, I stamped the word and phrases using MISTI on a white cardstock with Nocturne VersaFine Clair ink pad and then I cut it with the scallop die. After that, I used VersaMarker to add the ink around the corner of the die cut, dipped the edge in gold embossing powder, and then heat set it with craft heater. I did it on each edge of the sentiment die cut. You can do it all edge at the same time, but I found this way is easier because I can hold it at the clean space instead touch the powder accidently.

I added the sentiment on the card with 3D foam tape and it is done. I hope this quick and simple card give you an idea to cheer someone up with your handmade card.

Happy Holiday's everyone!

It's Donna here and I am featuring the "Snow Fall" and "Holly Jolly Santa" stamp sets.  I hope all of you who celebrate Christmas is ready to celebrate.  I pray you all will enjoy your family throughout the Holiday Season.  I will see you next year!

Here is how I created my card.

My card is an A2 card, I cut my first layer at 4 x 5, I used versamark along the edges of the panel and added silver embossing power and heat set it.  I then stamped the snowflakes from the  "Snow Fall" stamp set with versamark, added silver embossing powder and heat set it.  The next panel which measures 3 5/8 x 4 7/8.  I also stamped the sentiment from the "Holly Jolly Santa" with versamark, added silver embossing powder and heat set it.  I then used some scissors and cut the sentiment out and added it to my card with foam squares.

Handmade Gifts: Christmas Card and Ornament

Hello hello hello... December is here and Christmas is coming near... Today, I would like to share couple handmade gift ideas with you all that you all can make with Joy Clair Stamps for this Holidays!

I use the Vintage Christmas Ornaments stamp set to create this CAS Christmas card. I stamped the ornaments with Antique Linen Distress Ink on a watercolor paper 140 lbs. I did not use any masks to create that stacked ornaments becuase when I painted them with watercolor paper, the Distress ink reacted with the water and blended in. But if you use non-reacted dye inks or pigment inks, you will need the masks.

I painted the ornaments with Shimmerz Inklingz Watercolors (I'm Not Limon, Blue My Mind, and Good As Gold). These watercolor paints have the shimmering, metallic look. I dried the paints with craft heater, and then I sprayed it with some water using the Distress Sprayer. I dabbed the water off with paper towel to get more distressed, vintage look on them.

I added some extra gold splatters on the background with the Good As Gold Shimmerz Inklingz. After that, I dried it again with craft heater and cut it with Double Stitched Rectangles Dies.

I stamped the ornament again three times (just the top of the ornament) on a white cardstock with VersaMark Ink Pad and then I added some silver embossing powder. I heat set the embossing powder with craft heater and then fussy cut them with scissors. I added them on the ornaments with dries-clear permanent glue. I drew the stings with Posca Metallic Silver Paint Marker.

I stamped the sentiment on one of the ornament using MISTI with Delicata Silver Ink Pad, and then I stamped it again with Nocturne VersaFine Clair Ink Pad. I dried ink with craft heater. I added this finished background on top of a green card base with 3D foam tape for extra dimension to it.

Second handmade gift than you can make with Joy Clair Stamps is this chalkboard wood slice Christmas ornament. On this wood, I used The Reason Stamp Set and Snowy Greetings Stamp Set.

First, to paint the base color. I used Chalk Paint for the base. The paint dries fairy quickly. I usually paint the base twice, but if once is enough for you and that is okay, too.

To give the white chalk look on the background, I dibbed my finger in a white paint and lightly painted on the chalkboard. I had wet (not too wet) paper towel to remove the paint so not too much on the background.

After that, I stamped the images and sentiment on both side with white acrylic paint, too. I put the stamp on acrylic stamping block and I added the paint with mini brayer. I put the stamp directly in a bowl with warm water so the paint won't dried on the stamp and will be easy to clean.

I tied up the twine and done. You have a handmade Christmas ornament that you can also mass-produce this ornament as gifts.

How to Make a 3-D Poinsettia with Stamps

Any kind of 3-D element on a card is a good thing. I created this card with two sets of stamps in no time! Every time I see a poinsettia I think of the 1970's. Ugly sweaters were big back then and back in now. Nothing is better than mixing the two on a card.

Creating the poinsettia was simple with this stamp set and embossing powder. The raised edges make it easy to fussy cut.

The background was fun to create! I really wanted to resemble a 1970 era, so the Ugly Sweater Background stamp was perfect. I used two different colored ink pads and a stamp platform to get it even.

This was such a fun card to make! It has turned out to be my favorite Christmas card I have created this year.

New Year Resolutions and more

Hello friends Martha Lucia here with you!

I am up with my Resolutions card for Joy Clair. Today I choose  two different stamp sets, New Year New Me and Born to Sparkle, two of my forever favorites. Let me start with the first, My Resolution card.

The base and second layer of this card are basic black card stock. I used a Hero Arts stencil with IzinK Diamon Turquoise from Aladine to decorate the second layer of the card. After the Izink dried, I resized the layer and pasted it directly over the basic black card base. I love the glitter touch that this added to my card and turquoise is a great color to start a new life.

In a separate piece of Very Vanilla card stock I stamped some sentiments or resolutions for the next year included on the stamp set New Year New Me, using VesaFine Onix. I resized this layer with a Embossed Edged Rectangle Die.

My next card  also have my favorite colors, Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight. I stamped the stones included on the stamp set Born to Sparkle using different colors of Delicata Ink from Imagine over a Very Vanilla card stock. To obtain the sync with all images, I used the Wreath builder from Gina K. I pasted this layer directly over the Melon Mambo card base.

In a separate piece of Daffodil Delight card stock I stamped one of the sentiments included on the stamp set Born to Sparkle with VersaMark and MBoss Embossing Powder New Years Eve from Imagine. This color of embossing powder add the perfect sparkle touch to my card along with the two metallic strips that I added to this piece. To finalize the card, I added the Daffodil Delight piece with double sided foam tape.

Snowmen Cards with Joy Clair's Cozy Snowmen Wishes & Some Custom Stamps

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with some fun snowmen cards made with Joy Clair's Cozy Snowmen Wishes.  I love snowmen stamps and these cute guys are just my favorite!  Here's how I made this card:

1)  Stamp the snowmen out on white card stock and then cut them with the cut files from Joy Clair with my Scan n Cut.  (You can also fussy cut with scissors them if you prefer.) 

2)  Stamp the snowmen on plaid paper so you can paper piece the parts you want to.  (I did some of the hats, scarfs and shirts.)

3)  Color parts of the snowmen that you don't use paper piecing on.

4)  Mask off a straight line and ink the top of a piece of cardstock with Distress Oxide Inks in Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass.

5)  When it's dried, swipe Versamark ink over the blue section and then add glittery clear embossing powder.

6)  Heat embossing powder till melted and set aside to cool off.

7)  Cut the panel with two different sized rectangle dies.

8)  Stamp the sentiment on top panel (before you put it together) and add the snowmen on either side.

9)  Add the biggest panel to the card base with adhesive, I used glue.

10)  Pop up the top panel on foam tape, add a few snowflake sequins, and you are done! 

Here's a closer look: 

It's hard to see the glitter of the blue section but in real life it is VERY sparkly!  Don't you just love that sentiment with the snowflake for the "o" in snow?  So cute.

Here's a second card I made with the same set:

The main difference is I used dark gray card stock for the background instead of inking one.  I cut that gray card stock with a snowy background die from my stash.  I also cut snow drifts out of white card stock with scissors and added them to the bottom.  No paper piecing on this one, just colored with Zig Clean Color Markers.  And on these snowflakes I added silver Nuvo drops in the snowflake centers and in the snow dots on the back panel.  

I love this sentiment from the Joy Clair Cozy Snowmen Wishes set "angel kisses" - so sweet!   Here's another look:

I wanted to share with you also some "custom stamps" I had made from Joy Clair with my logo on it.  I had a logo made a few years back by a graphic artist and Joy Clair turned it into 2 different stamps and and return address stamp for me.  Here's a look at them.  I use the bigger two on the back of my cards:

And here is the smaller return address one they made for me - I blocked out my address for privacy, but you can see the smaller logo on the top.

Give Thanks To The Lord

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL... On this Thanksgiving Day, let's we all give thanks to the LORD for all his kindness, goodness, and blessings. His is faithful and his love endures forever!

To celebrate this Thanksgiving Day, I made this Thanksgiving card that I created using Joy Clair stamp sets and Imagine Craft products.

It is a clean and simple card with couple simple step to do. First, to create the glittery, sparkly background.

On a piece kraft cardstock, I added some anti-static powder and then I stamped the Falling Leaves Background Stamp using the VersaMark Ink Pad with my MISTI.

I sprinkled some of the Sparkle Mboss Embossing Powder on the stamped image, and then I heat it up with my craft heater.

After that, I trimmed the cardstock with my paper trimmer, and I added it on top of a yellow card base with Tombow permanent adhesive. I centered it in the middle of the card so the yellow card base showed on both sides as border.

On a piece of watercolor cardstock, I stamped the stacked books and tea cup image from the Tea Time Stamp Set using VersaFine Clair Pinecone Ink Pad. I dried the stamped images with my craft heater and then I colored them with my Watercolor Pencils and waterbrush.

After that, I dried the images again with craft heater and I fussy cut them with my micro-tip scissors. I added the tea cup on top of the stacked books with dries-clear permanent adhesive glue, and then I added them on top of the card with 3D foam tape.

I stamped two of the sentiments from the Thankful and Blessed Stamp Set on another white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Summertime Ink Pad using MISTI. I trimmed it with paper trimmer into a sentiment label, and then I added it on the card with 3D foam tape and permanent adhesive.

Joy Clair Make Waves and Imagine Crafts

Hello there inky friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with a fun collaboration post featuring stamps of Joy Clair and Ink/embossing powder by Imagine Crafts!  All this month we're featuring fun projects that combine these two fine products and I'm excited to share my first one with you today.  This card combines the fun Mermaid at Heart stamp set and the yummy Versafine Clair inks and Embossing powders.  

I used the perfect Versafine Clair Nocturne and Warm Breeze ink and    ink and the Iridescent MBossing Powder  as with all other Versafine inks, the images stamp crisp and clear and provide a perfect foundation for embossing powder.  I love the ink so much.  I chose the Iridescent embossing powder for this project because it creates such a fun sparkly water effect over my ink.  

To create the background, I blended the Warm Breeze ink onto the cardstock (I applied it sparingly but purposfully to create a water-like effect.  After distressing, I applied some embossing powder over this ink and heat it up to create the permanent sparkly sheen on my paper. 

I trimmed the panel down to allow for a more centrally focused card and stamped/colored and fussy cut the mermaid tail image to apply to the card panel.  Next, I added some stitching for an additional textural layer.  I stamped the sentiment and applied some bling for additional sparkle.

To finish my card off I attached the panel to my card base and tied some coordinating ribbon around the top.

Grateful For You

It's Ceal, here to share with you today.  We have been collaborating all month with Imagine Crafts, I hope you are getting lots of  inspiration from the design team for ways to use Imagine Crafts products with your Joy Clair Stamps. 

With Thanksgiving being next week, we are all thinking about what we are thankful/grateful for.  I made this card for one of my pastors at church using some Hologram embossing powder by Imagine Crafts and the Fall Greetings set.
