Hello and welcome, it's Angie here with two fantastic friends from around the world to host our next challenge in our series today!

For my card I used some of my favorite sets by Joy Clair:

I also used white card stock, 2 rectangle dies, Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol, Versafine Clair ink with clear embossing, a kraft envelope and patterned paper from my stash.

World Card Making Day 2018 - Rainbow Colors

Hello Friends!  Happy World Cardmaking Day! Today on the Joy Clair Blog we are celebrating this special day with a lot of designers from around the world!  Be sure to check them all out! 

I am sharing this post with my team mates Ceal Pritchett and Helen Gullett and  a very special guest designer Annie Collins. Our challenge was to use rainbow colors and of course I used them in my journaling.  (I decided to do Bible Journaling as opposed to cardmaking – but I am still going to celebrate!)  I knew I wanted to use two of the Joy Clair new release stamp sets together – and Life is Sweet and Fruit of the Spirit go beautifully together!  I chose the Galatians 5 Fruit of the Spirit passage to journal.

I started by stamping each of the fruit stamps from both sets on white watercolor paper.  I used Neocolor II Crayons to watercolor each piece of fruit and carefully cut them out.  I made a border of word stamps on the top and bottom of the page and also used some highlighter washi tape to highlight the scripture verse.

I put the fruit on the page in a rainbow formation and began to glue them down.  I also used the “Bear Good Fruit” stamp, watercolored some of the letters and glued a green apple to the top of the page as a tab.

With fall coming I was excited to do this last summery page full of good fruit!  These two stamps sets are fun and usable in so many different projects!  Thank you for stopping and if you are curious about Ceal, Helen and Annie creation here they are. Life's a Breeze...

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun summery card.  Today I'm featuring the new set called "Life's a Breeze".  It's a fun set that incorporates several kites and some fun sentiments and scene building images.  

I started out by stamping one of the kites with some Versafine Clair Summertime Ink.  After that, I drybrushed some of the ink onto the kite to give it some faint color.  I didn't want too much color on this image so I used a fine paintbrush and barely brushed the ink on.  A light touch was all I needed.  After that, I assembled the panel by applying strands of colorful twine (from Hemptique) into a block onto the panel then applied the kite with some foam squares.  I attached a piece of twine to the kite so that I could add some little kite ribbons (also included in the stamp set).  I drybrushed these little ribbons with Versafine Clair Warm Breeze and Charming Pink ink too.  

I wanted to add a bit of grass to ground the image so I opted to doodle some grass onto white cardstock using Copic Markers.  This helped contrast against the fibers.  I applied this grass with some foam squares and then mounted it onto the panel.  

A closer look at the card panel reveals some machine stitching and a whimsically cut border.  I tied a bit of black twine around the panel and then added a little green dot to finish it off.  Mounting this panel onto a white card base finished it off!

Be Fearless, Be Strong, Have Faith with Joy Clair and Imagine Crafts

Hello everyone... Helen is here. Today, I have a patriotic themed card that I created using the new Color By Faith - Inspirational Arrows Stamp Set and Grungy Flag Background Stamp together with VersaFine Clair Ink Pads.

This card is very easy and quick to create and I am inspired by our June Challenge photo inspiration.

I started this project with creating the background. Using Original MISTI, I stamped the Grungy Flag Background Stamp directly on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Tulip Red Ink Pad and VersaFine Clair Blue Belle Ink Pad. These VersaFine Clair ink pads are pigment inks that we can get great stamped image in just one time stamping. After I stamped the flag, I dried it with craft heater.

I trimmed the background panel to fit on a 5" x 7" white card and I added it on the card with dries-clear adhesive glue.

 After that, I cut a piece of vellum paper and I stamped 3 of the word arrows from the Color By Faith - Inspirational Arrows Stamp Set using the VersaFine Clair Nocturne (Black). I dried the stamped vellum with craft heater. To avoid wrinkled vellum paper, I pre-heated the craft heater for several seconds to make sure it was hot enough to dry the ink.

Once the vellum paper dried, I added it on the card by adding the dries-clear adhesive glue right under the stamped images, and then I wrapped both edges around the front card and secure it with some dries-clear adhesive glue. You can leave the inside of the card as is, but I always like to add a piece of cardstock to cover the extra vellum inside the card, just look nicer.
