NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP!!!

Hello everyone! Welcome to our Second Release of  Stamp Sets for 2018!

This is a wonderful release with 12 new stamp sets between Everyday Collection and Color by Faith Collection. We are crazy with the new images, backgrounds and sentiments that these stamps bring to our designers and of course to our readers and followers.

Joy Clair Stamps & Misti are together!!!

Hello everyone! Martha Lucia here with you.

Today is the official start of the month with this big Collaboration between Joy Clair Stamps and My Sweet Petunia, the creators of Misti!

 I have two projects to share with you. The first is one of my classic CAS cards using the stamp set Best Buds. Let me show it to you:

The spring is around the corner and I am crazy with images and sentiments of the stamp set Best Buds. I decided to create a background using a combination of inks. First I defined the inked area with masking tape and then I applied the ink with blending tools. I used a combination of Distress Oxide and Distress Inks. I started applying Distress Oxide Wilteed Violet on the lower part and then moved to Distress Ink Seedless Preserves and Distress Ink Victorian Velvet to obtain this range of colors. I sprayed only the inked area with Clear Shimmer Spritz from Imagine and believe me the photos don't show how beautiful this background is.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Best Buds using Versafine Clair Nocturne using the Misti and let the card base aside for a few minutes.

In a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, a very small piece of card stock, I stamped the image from the stamp set Best Buds and colored with Prismacolor Premier color pencils and fussy cut with my scissors. One of the advantages of Misti is that you can use papers of any size and you always can place your images in different ways to use your scraps of paper. You never waste your card stock!

After painted the bunnies images and cut it, and pasted over the card using dimensionals or double sided foam tape.

My second project was made using the stamp set Fishers of Men and the Regular Misti too.

 I inked the center of of a layer of Whisper White card stock using four different colors of Distress Ink. I used Cracked Pistachio, Blueprint Sketch, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers.

Then I placed the piece of card stock inside of my misti and centered the image of the net included on the stamp set Fishers of men. I moved the card stock to the left and right to stamp the complete panel.

Another advantage of use the Misti is that you can stamp several images at once. For this card I stamped this two fishes using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink over a small piece of Whisper White Card stock. I used Memento Ink because I wanted to colored with Prismacolor Premier color pencils.

I cut two pieces of Island Indigo card stock using the one of the borders included on the die cut set Stitched Hillside Borders. I pasted these pieces over the stamped whisper white layer. Then I pasted this layer directly over the card base. I used two of the sentiments included on the same stamp set, Fishers of Men to complete the card. I stamped them at once using the misti and paste the fishes using dimensionals or double sided foam tape.

Joy Clair World Cardmaking Day - Color Combo with Helen

Hello everyone... HAPPY WORLD CARDMAKING DAY!!! We are at Joy Clair is celebrating this special event with all day full of fun cardmaking challenge with tons of prizes!

It is my turn with the Color Combo Challenge. You need to create a project with these 3 color combo: RED, ORANGE, and BROWN. Other neutral colors are okay to be used if necessary, the 3 color combo need to be the focal point on your project.

Here's my card that I created using the Give Thanks - Bible Journaling Clear Stamps and Harvest Blessings Clear Stamps.

I used kraft cardstock as the cardbase, white watercolor paper for the background panel and for the pumpkins, and white heavy cardtock for the sentiment banner.

I used Memento Rich Cocoa Ink Pad to stamp all the images and Arteza Watercolor Real Brush Pens to color the images.

I used some very light blue color to create the faded sky on the background of the scarecrow. And I used the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Brush pen to add the glitter on the scarecrow and pumpkins.

I embellished my card with the red stripe ribbon to finish the card.

Hopefully this card can inspire you to create a project and play along with our challenge. It is your turn and we cannot wait to see your projects!

Hello again everyone! We really hope you've been enjoying Joy Clair World Card Making Day so far! Have you had a chance to get crafty yet?

If there's one thing better than getting crafty, it's getting crafty with a bunch of friends, right? That's how we feel and that's exactly why we invited some of our good crafty friends to join us today during this Big Blog Hop! You'll come away feeling so inspired after seeing all the amazing creations everyone has come up with!

This Blog Hop is very special for us because it is an entire surprise for ALL, and when I said surprise it is a surprise!. One of our designers, Kerry Urbatch give us the idea to create something using "inches" created by us. All the inches need to be the same, and need to be send to each designer. At the end we will have 9 "different inches" to create our project and today we will show the result. It is not funny! Unfortunately some inches didn't arrive on time and some cards were created with less inches but we understand that this were a mail problem.

JOIN US WORLD CARDMAKING DAY - ALL DETAILS

Do you want to celebrate with us? The time is now!!! Beginning at midnight of October 7 we will be kicking off the World Card Making Day (WCMD) celebrations! Woohoo!

 

 

Beginning at 1:00 a.m. (Easter Time) we will be posting challenges throughout the day, every 2 hours, right up until 11:00 p.m.! And that's not all! At 9:00 a.m. we have a very special WCMD Big Hop featuring a dazzling array of very special guests!!

 

For right now let's get some of the most important information out of the way so we can have fun, fun, fun all day (and night) long!

 

1. We want everyone to be able to play so there is *no* requirement to use Joy Clair Stamps although we would be thrilled if you did.  Please make a new card though!
2. We will have all challenges open until next Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 11:55 p.m. EST to let you create a little more than just on WCMD because celebrations should never be limited to a single day, right?   
3. If you are unable to participate in the challenges, simply comment on the posts.  We will be giving one prize to a randomly drawn commenter compiled from all WCMD 2017 posts.

Hello everyone!

It's Donna here, I am featuring one of the most recent newly released stamp set called Rose Sentiments.  This is a beautiful set, the sentiments are in a beautiful script.   The sent is so versatile you can make all kinds of card with this set such as  sympathy, get well, congrats and so on.  I have a wedding card that I made today.   The roses are beautiful, I have colored mine with copics, but you can use any media you would like.   If you have not seen all the beautiful designs the team has created, please stop by the Joy Clair blog to see them.

Here is my card for your inspiration:

 How I put my card together:

1.  My card measures 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, the white layer measures 5 1/4 x 4,

2.  I embossed the white layer,

3.  I then die cut the Victorian looking die,

4.  I stamped my image with memento black ink (since I was coloring the image with copics),

5.  I then colored my image with copics using R27, 46 and 59, the leaves are YR03, 17, 68.  I then centered the stitched die over my image and die cut it out,

6.  I then took a piece of black cardstock and stamped my sentiment from the Rose Sentiments stamp set with versamark ink,

7.  I then heat embossed it with white embossing powder.  I die cut it out and adhered it to my rose image with foam tape,

8.  I finished the card off by adding some clear round drops with wet glue.

Here is a closer look at the image, so many details in the flower.  I am still learning shadows, I hope one day to really be a professional at coloring them.
