Baby Bib Card

 

Hello Everyone!

It's Ceal, here to share another project with you. This month we are collaborating with the Cutting Cafe. Have you ever visited their store? they have tons, I mean tons of cutting files for just about anything you can think if. It was super hard to choose a file because of all the choices but I have a friend who just had a baby girl and a few more friends expecting so I choose the bib card to make cards for them. The files that I used also include invites and even a file to make a shaker bib card. One of the best things is that not everyone has an electric cutter, well the Cutting Cafe files come in SVG or PDF so you don't need a electronic cuter you can just bring it out and then fussy cut it out which is exactly what I did even though I have an electronic cutter, I have no clue how to use a SVG file lol.

 

To create this card I used several different sets, some old some new. I started out by printing the bib file on white card stock and then the scallop on Innocent Pink card stock. I placed the white bib portion of the card in the Original's MISTI and stamped the Floral border from the Reckless Love set around the outside of the bib, next I used the "Welcome" from the Spring Stroll set, the "baby girl"  and the Heart Sprigs from the New Baby set and the small rose from the Deer Friends set.  After I got it all stamped I colored them using Copic markers Y18 Lightning Yellow, YG23 New Leaf, RV21 Light Pink, RV17 Deep Magenta, BG11 Moon White, BG32 Aqua Mint. To finish the car I adhered the whit portion of the bib to the pink Scollop and added some ribbon.

Spring Stroll in a box

Hi there, Martha Lucia here with  you!

Spring is here and I have it in a box! I am combining two products on the creation of this box, the first is the Popcorn Box Template File from The Cutting Cafe and the other is the Spring Stroll Stamp Set from Joy Clair Stamps.

Make this kind of projects is fun because you stretch your stamps and fly with your imagination. I love to make 3D's but during the last months I totally left it in a side and now I am really enjoying my passion.

I have a complete step by step tutorial of this project HERE on my Stampartpapel Blog and don't think that you need an electronic machine to cut your files. No, you can easily made all that you want just with your scissors!

Funky fresh with Joy Clair and Therm-O-Web

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm here to share some yummy cards created with Joy Clair stamps and Therm-O-Web products.

This was my first opportunity to play with Therm-O-Web foil and I wanted to play and explore with it.  I didn't want to use the most usual stenciling and plain image transfer-and wanted to stretch my exploration a bit more beyond the traditional applications.  Through my exploration, I discovered my favorite foiling technique...I'm not sure it's a well known technique, but it's one I loved to use.  

To create my first card (Donuts anyone?), I applied some DecoFoil Transfer Gel to the Sprinkled with Love donut stamp and stamped all over some paper.  After I let the paper dry, I foiled the image as normal in my cheap Scotch laminator.  After I peeled off the foil, I set that page aside and took another piece of cardstock.  I brushed some Transfer Gel onto the paper with a paintbrush and then applied the foil that I had previously used.  I ran it through my machine and what came out was a gorgeous brushstroked masterpiece.  I love how the rainbow foil looks distressed and you can still see the donut images.  

Mighty yummy, 'eh?

My next two cards were created using the traditional stenciling technique.  I used some Transfer Gel, the Abstract Circles Stencil and the New Baby stamp set.  I used my finger to apply the Transfer Gel onto the paper, then ran the paper/foil through my laminator.  After I removed the foil, I added a little sentiment and stamped the cloud/rainbow and then colored it with Copics.  

Take a close peek at the stencil marks.  Rainbow-licious!

When I created this rainbow panel, I KNEW I had to add a little rainbow stamped image!  The New Baby set worked PERFECTLY!

So that I could make the most of my leftover foil, I brushed some Transfer Gel onto a piece of white cardstock, applied the used stenciled foil and ran it through my laminator.  I LOVE how the brushstrokes show up and the rainbow foil needed absolutely nothing else on the cardfront (I did stamp "Congratulations" on the inside.  :)

Just look at that rainbow goodness!!  A little tilt back and forth and you can just see it shine!  

Yep!  It needed NOTHING else...I held restraint!  I sure did!  I just added some ribbon, stamped a sentiment on the inside and said THIS IS GORGEOUS!  

Alrighty, so now I'm in love with rainbow brushstrokes!  Yep, I need to do a bit more shopping at Therm-O-Web too!

Deer Friends with Donna

Hello everyone!

It's Donna here featuring the newly released stamp set Deer Friends, this is the cutest set!  If you have not had a chance to see all the new stamps released last month, please stop by Joy Clair Stamps and check them out.  There are so many newly released Bible Journaling sets for those of you who love bible journaling.  Also, there are so many beautiful creations by the design team that will surely get your creative juices flowing!

Here is my card that I am sharing with you today:

Closer look at the card

Here is how I created my card:

1.  My card is an A2 card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2,

2.  The next layer I die cut it with a stitched die, measuring 4 x 5 1/4,

3.  I embossed the layer with an embossing folder,

 

4.  I then stamped the images I wanted to use on my card and used my scan and cut to cut them out,

 

5.  I then colored them with Copics,

 

6.  I stamped the sentiment from the Joy Clair Deer Friends stamp set and die cut it out with a stitched fishtail die.  I adhered this to my card with foam tape,

 

7.  I then arranged the animals from the Joy Clair Deer Friends where I wanted them on my card and popped them up with foam tape.

 

8.  To put some finishing touches on my card, I added some black Nuvou Drops to the eyes and the body of the deer to give them some dimension (see card below).

Stamps & Foiled Paper - Mother Pearl Technique

Hello everyone Martha Lucia here with you!

Today I am featuring Mother Pearl Technique & Foiled Paper in a very cute Bookmarks that I made using one of the new stamp sets of Joy Clair and Rinea Foiled Paper.  This month we have a special collaboration between this two brands and I decided to make something special, like they are for me.

I used a very old technique knows as Mother Pearl and some die cuts to create the pieces of the book mark. If you noticed it is a combination of two ends that you can use to separate the pages on your books. You only need to tie both pieces and determinate the long of the thread. I used natural/gold thread.

Directions:

I die cut a whisper white pieces of cardstock using the the large die cut from the Anastasia Tag Die by WPlus9.  Using my Misti, I stamped different images from the stamp set Deer Friends using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Studio 71 Alcohol Markers.

Taking a piece of plastic wrap and All Purpose Ink in Metallic Frost White color and inked the plastic wrap directly and "sponged" the ink over the painted images and all the surface. I left the inked layer dry for a few seconds and let a side in a while.

To complete the project, I cut the same layer using the colors of foiled paper included on the Princess Foiled Paper Variety Pack , I used the Glossy Lavender Light Purple/Gold and after cut the large die cut. I cut two pieces but only in one, I cut the center with another oval included on the Anastasia Tag Die. With the negative part and a small die cut I created the frame for the other end of my book mark. All these parts were cut with the same set of die cuts.

I repeated the technique process to stamp the complement sentiment and and assembled all the  Glossy Lavender Light Purple/Gold Rinea Foiled Paper pieces using glue. At the end, I tied the two mini tags with a natural/gold thread.

Here second project that I made with the same process. At this time I only changed the colors of Rinea Foiled Paper and used Starstruck Silver Foiled Paper. This color is also included on the Princes Foiled Paper Variety Pack.

Special tip:

You can also take advantage of the different sizes of foiled paper available on Rinea Shop or the single color packages to create this type of projects. And remember, if you have a “mass production” you can also use the new Misfits Foiled Paper Variety Packages. This is a mystery collection variety pack of our favorite metallic foiled papers in both starstruck and  glossy.

God's Masterpiece by Joy Clair

Hi! Jenny from Jen's Crafty Place here with a clean and simple card using the new stamp set by Joy Clair called, "God's Masterpiece". You can find this stamp set and a lot more from this new release HERE.

As you can see, the card is a simple one. I just added a picture of my daughter in the easel frame after I stamped the fun splotches and I was done. (I blurred out my daughter's face for privacy reasons)

Let's make this card!!

• Pick any size card base. I used an A2 but you can do this with any size, 4x6, 5x7 or the one I did 4.25 x5.5.
• Stamp the sentiment, "God's Masterpiece" at the top of the card in black ink. (I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne. You can purchase this at Imagine Crafts as well as other great products!)
• On a scrap piece of paper, stamp the easel (with VersaFine Clair Nocturne from Imagine Crafts) and color with some colored pencils or markers. (I used colored pencils from Leisure Arts)
• Cut out the inside frame and add your favorite person or pet in the opening you made.
• For the fun part, stamp the paint splotches from the set all over the card front using your favorite colors. I used a lot of brights for my pallet. Get creative and play with color for different looks.
• Color the letter's in the word, GOD'S with colored pencil to match my stamping.

• To add some dimension and some shine, I added some Glossy Accents over my splotches. Set aside to dry.
• When dry, add your easel image with some foam tape and you are done! (I used a corner rounder on 2 sides to make the card a bit more interesting, this is optional)

Hello everyone! Today I am featuring two stamp sets from Joy Clair, Mother's Day Love with the best hugs sentiment and Crackle Background.

The process to create my card was very simple. I stamped the Crackle Background over Very Vanilla cardstock using two different colors of ink. First with Crumb Cake Classic Ink and second time, rotating the stamp with Bermuda Bay Classic Ink. I love how this piece of card stock turned in a fantastic crackle background. Then using a stitched scallop circle to cut the center of the stamped layer and resized it to be used as second layer on my card. Using my MISTI and a Crumb Cake card base I stamped one of the cute images included on the stamp set Mother's Day Love with VersaMark Ink. After that, I colored the image with color pencils.

When I was satisfied with the coloring, I re-stamped the image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne and stamped the sentiment and covered them with Clear Embossing Powder.

I pasted the Crackle background image over the card base using dimensionals or double sided foam tape. As final touch I mixed Bermuda Bay Classic Ink and Sheer Shimmer Spritzer Sparkle over my mat and with this mix I covered two tiny pieces of card stock or borders that I added on the lower part of the card.

 I hope my project inspired you to combine your stamps on your creations. I love inks and they are the best tool to make that.

Sweet Congratulations with Be a Flamingo and New Baby

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun card that I hope blossoms your creativity!  Since April is my birthday month, I always love to send out tons of flowery cards to friends.  It's kind-of a reverse tradition.  I don't usually get a lot of birthday cards (my little sister was born on my birthday when I was in fifth grade and that pretty much shut down the card receiving for me).  Anyway, like I said, I love to send out cards all through the month of April and I especially love to create one-of-a-kind flowerific cards.  You know, the cards that are created in a spur of the moment setting that you have no plan in making...they just blossom?  Well, that's what this card is! 

After pulling the stamp set, I inked up the two flamingos in the set directly onto the plaid paper.  I wanted to create a pair of flamingos that were in love- or perhaps celebrating some special delivery.  Yes, they are flamingos, but I think when you remove their legs, they kinda look like swans too!  Soo...I used my Misti to get a nice crisp impression of these images and fussy cut them right up to the line.  After that, I set them aside and started working on the background design.  

I wanted these two "birds" to be the focal, so I diecut some crisp white cardstock using a new die I purchased from Studio Katia.  I love this pierced, punched and scalloped circle die and then stamped the sentiment below the nested circles.  It works perfectly to allow these "birds" to take center stage!  I mounted the "birds" onto some foam squares and positioned them so that their necks created a heart formation.  After setting them on the plaid/white mounting background, I added some ribbon and finished by adding a veneer heart that I colored with some Pink Nuvo Drops and then sprinkled with microfine glitter.  

I think this is a perfectly sweet card!  Perfect for a loving couple that has just announced a bundle of joy coming soon or perhaps, that sweet young couple getting married!  Either way, sweet is just my cup of tea!  :)
