Foliage birthday cards with a festive color palette

Welcome to today's blog post. I had the best of intentions to make some Christmas cards using some of the gorgeous foliage and leaf stamps from Joy Clair. But as inspiration was lacking they turned into Birthday cards which I need a few of for December. So here they are...

I really have fallen in love with the leaves from all across the stamp sets from Joy Clair. There are several and they are all so versatile.

For this card I used a gelli printed background and some stamped leaves. The leaves are colored using markers and a shimmer pen adds some sparkle to them.

For the sentiments and decorative elements I used some Kaisercraft collectables - quick and easy adding some gold foiling for bling. You can find the gorgeous Fall Greeting Stamp set that I used here.

And on my second card using the same supplies but adding a strip of washi tape down the sode.

And looking at these cards now, I might as well have gone with my initial Christmas theme - as I really love the red, pink and green color combo.
