Welcome by the Joy Clair Blog today, everyone! It's Karen Letchworth here today sharing some yummy coffee cards with you. This month at Joy Clair Stamps, we're teaming up with our friends over at Imagine Crafts to bring you some really fun and exciting projects combining the wonderful Joy Clair Stamps with all the awesome products found at Imagine Crafts. I chose to work with some of their amazing Embossing Powders, Sheer Shimmer Stix and Fantastix. I made two coffee cards to share with you today. On the first card, I used a piece of light pink paper and placed a stencil over it. Next, I carefully sprayed or "spritzed" it with Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer from Imagine Crafts to stencil the background (sort of a chicken wire background). I also used the Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer to touch the edges where I would normally have used ink. Once I had created my background, I was able to do the stamping.
I used the Coffee Lovers Stamp Set to stamp the sentiments (Thanks A Latte), the coffee cups, the steam, the heart, and the coffee beans. I also used the Cherry Blossom Walnut Ink Spritzer on the tip of a Fantastix to "paint" the one coffee cup (the pink one). The outer portion is the regular color, and the softer pink is diluted down. The Fantastix are like little pencils you can dip into different inks and paint with them. They have various sizes and shapes of tips for painting sharper details, or doing bigger areas. They're super cool and fun to use. On my second card, I stamped two of the (three) coffee mugs found in the Christmas Coffee Stamp Set. I embossed the one mug using the fabulous Black Hologram MBoss Embossing Powder, and the other using Metallic Berry MBoss Embossing Powder. These embossing powders are SO cool, come in tons of great colors, and really grab the light beautifully. I used some Iridescent Opaque MBoss Embossing Powder on the holly leaves. The coffee mugs, Coffee sentiment, steam and holly leaves can all be found in the Christmas Coffee Stamp Set. I do wish my photos had captured the glimmer these amazing embossing powders produce. It's really pretty and sparkly in real life.Joy Clair is always sure to have the perfect stamp set you're looking for, and that will help you create something amazing. Be sure to also check out Joy Clair's amazing selection of Custom Stamps. Their selection is amazing, and it's so much fun decorating your envelopes to match your cards. For my matching envelope, I used a Christmas style Custom Stamp called Parker Christmas Address. Joy Clair will make a Custom Stamp for you, too.
