A Simple Card Featuring The Hope Stamp Set

Today, I am using one of those new sets, Hope. This set is fabulous. It is designed for breast cancer awareness, but it is so well designed you can tailor it to fit any number of your needs. I wanted to highlight that for my card today. So while I colored my ribbon pink, there are many references you can find online on the different ribbon colors and their meanings.

Way to go Celebration card

Welcome to today's blog post with me Jowilna. With the last release of gorgeous stamp sets I think this set spoke to me in so many ways and yet I couldn't create with it. For some reason it was just always a struggle creatively to get it done. Well that's until now.
Unashamed is one of those versatile sets that can be used for anything.

So once I was a bit more relaxed, focused and calm in my soul, I created this card using a background I created using the Gelli Plate awhile ago. I started off with my background and added some Thermoweb foiled circles and diamonds. The foiled background punched into a circle was the perfect piece for my mask to sit on.

A few stamped and colored diamonds grouped with a smaller foiled circle was used at the bottom together with the stamped sentiment.

And this card is perfect to use for my niece who will be graduating from school soon - a diamond in God's eyes, unashamed and ready for a bright and bold future.

CAS Cards For Guys

Hello everyone... Helen is here again. And today, I would like to share these CAS cards for Guys with you all.

On my cards today, I use the Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set and Rustic Occasions Sentiments stamp set. Making these CAS cards for Guys is pretty simple and quick. Designs that you can create over and over again, especially if you want to mass-produce the cards for any occasions.

First for the background, I embossed the brown kraft cardstocks with woodgrain embossing folder. Trimmed them into 4" x 5.25" and then added them on top of the white cards with permanent adhesive glue.

After that, I added some white paint splatters on the background panels with white acrylic paint and water using fan brush. I simply flicked the paints on each card. Then, set them aside to dry while I was working the sentiments.

For the sentiments, I stamped the rustic wood frame from the Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set on white cardstocks using Pinecone VersaFine Clair ink pad with Mini MISTI. I stamped them 4 times.

And then, I stamped the sentiments from both Rustic Christmas Sentiments stamp set and Rustic Occasions Sentiments stamp set using Mini MISTI and same ink pad. It is very easy to center the sentiments inside the frame using the MISTI stamping tool.

After done stamping all the sentiments, I fussy cut them with scissors and then added each of them on the card with 3D foam tape.

Quick and simple as that. I hope you all like and enjoy these masculine CAS card idea today.

Martha's Flowers Cards

Hi there, Martha Lucia here with you. I couldn't resist the idea of use during this month of Joy Clair Anniversary the stamp that they created for me. Martha's flowers is not only one of my favorites, it is really beautiful. For today I prepared two different cards with them.

On my first card, I stamped the bigger image of the stamp set on the lateral borders of the card onto a whisper white card stock with VersaFine Clair and Clear Embossing Powder. I obtained a very elegant look and just finished the card with a Hello die cut that I cut from Gold Glossy Rinea Foiled paper and card stock to give dimension. The complement of the sentiment is part of the stamp set Hello Sentiments.

My next card was also stamped onto whisper white card stock but this time using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped the big image on the lower border and cut the center of the card with a rectangle die cut, creating two different pieces, one frame and one rectangle for the central part.

I just colored the flowers of the central panel with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. I pasted the frame over a whisper white card base with double sided foam tape and the center with double sided tape. On this way, I have two different levels on the card. As final touch, I just added some Jewels from Kat Scrappiness.

Anchor Of Hope by Joy Clair~

Hi, Connie here with a card using the Anchor Of Hope set by Joy Clair. This is one of the older sets but still considered a goodie. One of my favorite sets!!

To create the background, for the card front, the anchor stamp was stamped in random spots on the white cardstock.  The anchors were colored in using watered down Distress Oxide inks.  I made a mix of several different blue tones and gray Distress Oxides to anchor the "anchor".   That was matted on gray cardstock and then adhered to the card front.  One anchor was stamped out, trimmed out and then the hook, of the anchor, holds the sentiment tag.  Stamp the tag (gray tag or make your own) and adhere to the blue tone piece.  Add dimensional adhesive, to the extra stamped images, around the tag.  Splatter with black ink.  Add twine to the anchor (holding the tag).

Joy Clair is soon to be celebrating its 5th year in business, creating these gorgeous stamps for all of us to enjoy.  Check out the online store for all of the oldies but goodies!!

Birthday Books...Be Wise

Hello there Joy Clair fans!  It's Kerry here and I'm back with another fun favorite in celebration of this Birthday month!  Today, I selected a fun favorite called "Be Wise".  It's from the Color By Faith collection and it is just a gorgeous set to inspire.  As a teacher, I find this set quite handy and use it often when making cards for school events and for functions  that require a teacher/school thank you.  The bold type font read, study, apply is just perfect not only for scripture, but for motivational thoughts for students as well.  

To create my card, I stamped the books on the shelf onto some green cardstock and then added the sentiment in black.  I then stamped the glasses onto a strip of kraft cardstock.  To finish off the card, I did a bit of layering and flicked some black acrylic paint onto the card.  I tied some twine around the stamped panel and then attached an abalone shell button (turned around backwards to reveal the rough side) and some black satin ribbon.  

This is such a fun and quick way to add high impact on a card for a special someone.  I hope you agree.  Thanks for popping over to check out my card.  I want to wish Joy Clair a Happy 5th Anniversary/Birthday and many, many more!

It's Donna here with a Halloween card I created using the Joy Clair  October Fun stamp set.  It's hard to believe we are at the end of August, where did the Summer go?

Here is how I created my card....

My card is an A2 card, I used a background die to create the frame and trees.  I used distress ink to create the background.  I used a Wink of Stella marker to make the ground look like gravel.  I then stamped and used my scan and cut with the images from October Fun, the pumpkin is from the Trick or Treat Stamp set.  Before I adhered my images to the card I stamped the bats, spider and sentiment from  October Fun.

Joy Clair Meets Therm O Web | Stamps, Stencils, Metallix Gels

Hello everyone! Helen is here today. I hope you all have been checking on the amazing projects during this collaboration week between Joy Clair and Therm O Web! Today is my turn to share my two projects with you all that created with clear stamps, stencils, metallix gels, pigment inks, spray paints, and watercolor paints.

On my first mixed media card, I use the Martha Flowers stamp set, Deco Foil Crackle Stencil, Deco Foil Metallix Gel - Glazed Pewter, Pixie Spray, and Deco Foil Stencil Pal. 

I stamped one of the flowers from the Martha Flowers stamp set on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black using MISTI. I stamped it twice for crisp image. After that, I colored the flowers with Sakura Koi Water Colors and water brush. I dried it with Craft Heater and then I fussy cut it with micro-tips scissors.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the same stamp set on a white cardtock with the same ink pad and then I trimmed it into sentiment label.

To add texture on the background is simple. I really love using the Pixie Spray, and Deco Foil Stencil Pal with stencil. Totally make this background steps super easy:

• Spray the back of the stencil with the Pixie Spray
• Let it sit to dry for about 1 minute (direction is on the bottle)
• Add the stencil on top of the cardtock
• Spread the Metallix Gel on the straight edge of the Stencil Pal
• Spread it evenly on the cardstock

After adding the Metallix Gel on the cardstock, you can remove the stencil right away. Check out how crisp and gorgeous the result! No smudge or leaking under the stencil!

 

You can wash the stencil and stencil pal while waiting for the gel to dry. But... what I did was the gel was still bit wet on the stencil, I grabbed another cardstock, added the stencil on it, and using baby wipe I spread the extra gel on the cardstock. I got a second background that I can use for another project and it look distressed. I also cleaned the stencil pal with baby wipe. 

When the gel dried, I sprayed it with some London Fog FireWorks! Spray and added some extra splatters on it using a fan brush. I dried the spray paint with Craft Heater. I trimmed the background panel to fit on the front white card. I added it with Dries-Clear Permanent Adhesive Glue.

I added some white twine on the card and secured it with Dries-Clear Permanent Adhesive Glue.

Next, I added the flower on the card with 3D foam tape, and then I added the sentiment label on the flower with the same adhesive glue.

I finished the card by adding some pearl gems on it.

On my second mixed media card, I use the Rose Sentiments stamp set, Deco Foil Modern Links Stencil, Deco Foil Metallix Gel - Black Ice, Pixie Spray, and Deco Foil Stencil Pal.

I created the background card using the same steps that I used for the first mixed media card. For the splatters, I use the Sakura Koi Water Colors and water brush. I set it aside to dry while working on the flower label.

I stamped the rose label image from the Rose Sentiments stamp set on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad using MISTI. I colored it with Sakura Koi Water Colors and water brush and then dried it with craft heater.

I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in the middle of the label with MISTI using the same ink pad.

After that, I fussy cut it with micro-tips scissors and then I added it on the card with 3D foam tape.

I finished this second mixed media card with some translucent sequins.

Rainbow Snowflakes

Hello Friends, 

All week we have been collaborating with Thermoweb, I hope you have been enjoying the projects and getting lots of inspiration from them.

I wanted to get a head start on my Christmas cards so I picked out some of the Blizzard Foilmates and the Rainbow Shattered Glass deco foil to use on this card along with the Snowy Greetings set.
