For today's blog post I am sharing this Bible Journaling entry. How gorgeous is this stamp set, and I am loving the message of encouragement of this one.

I used the Proverbs 31 Stamp set for most of my page and then added more stamping with the Lindsay script Alpha set.

My images are coloured using markers and the inking around the edges of my page using Memento Luxe ink from Tsukineko. Perfect for a soft and feminine feel.

I used the Lindsay Script stamp set to create the "I am Strong" wording at the bottom of my page - and fell totally in love with it. So fun creating your own beautiful journaling without having to commit my handwriting to it.

SHE Mixed Media Tags

Hello everyone... Helen is here again today. Encouraging words are matter. Our hearts are encouraged when we encourage others up. And our spirits be lifted when we lift others up. I also like to make flash cards or tags with some encouraging words to be my reminder.

This time, I made these four mixed media tags with some encouraging words for my Tag Ring and I would love to share with you all.

I combine 2 newly relesed stamp sets on these mixed media tags. They are Proverbs 31 Journaling Stamp Set and Boss Babe Clear Stamps.

I like to use heavy weight watercolor cardstock to be my tag bases. I cut them with paper trimmer and punch.

On a mixed media paper, I stamped the girl image from the Proverbs 31 Journaling Stamp Set with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad. I stamped it 4 times and then dried them with craft heater. After that, I colored each image with Staedtler Marsgraphic Duo Markers and water brush.  I dried them again with craft heater after watercoloring process and then I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors.

On this first tag, I used Distress Oxide ink pads and water to create the background using smooshing technique. After I dried it with craft heater, I added the White Gelato with Make Marks 5 ARTplorations Stencil. I used my finger to blend the Gelato on the surface. After that, I added the girl image on the tag with gel medium. I dried it with craft heater and then I stamped the sentiment from Boss Babe Clear Stamps with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad. I dried it again. To finish this tag, I added some white acrylic paint around the edge of the tag with foam and I sprinkle some white paint and water on the tag with fan brush. 

On this second tag, I did the same step with the first tag to create the background. I added some splatters on the background using the Fireworks! Girls' Night Out Set. I dried it again with craft heater. I added the pink Gelato on the tag surface using the Make Marks 3 ARTplorations Stencil and blended it with my finger. After that, I added the girl image on the tag with gel medium. I dried it with craft heater and then I stamped the sentiment from Boss Babe Clear Stamps with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad. I dried it one more time with craft heater. 

I used yellow and purple acrylic paints to create the background on this card. When the first layer dried, I added some black Gelato on the surface with Make Marks 1 ARTplorations Stencil. After that, I added thin layer of white gesso on it with sponge. And than, I added the girl image on the tag with gel medium. I added some white paint splatters on the tag with water and fan brush. I dried it with craft heater and then I stamped the sentiment from Boss Babe Clear Stamps with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad. I dried it again with craft heater.

For the last tag, I added the acrylic paints on the tag with brayer to create the layer of bright colors. After that, I added the black Gelato on the surface with Make Marks 4 ARTplorations Stencil and blended it with my finger. I added some white paint and water on the tag with fan brush. After that, I added the girl image on the tag with gel medium and dried it with craft heater. And then I stamped the sentiment from Boss Babe Clear Stamps with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad at the bottom of the tag. I dried it again. To finish this tag, I added some black acrylic paint around the edge of the tag with foam.

It was a fun time creating these mixed media tags and exploring what mediums that works with Joy Clair clear stamps. I hope they inspire you to try something new today!

No Probllama by Martha Lucia

Hello crafty friends, Martha Lucia here with you!

Today I am featuring the No Probllama stamp set, one of my favorites stamp sets from the most recently release. 

I decided to make a funny card and selected basic black card stock to create the card base. I inked a complete whisper white piece of card stock using different colors of distress ink. I applied the ink with a blender brush. Then I die cut the On The Curve Cover Panel from Reverse Confetti from the inked whisper white piece. I pasted this layer over the basic black card base using double sided foam tape.

In a separate piece of whisper white card stock, I stamped three images included on the stamp set No Probllama with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

I resized the stamped images using the Stitched Hex Tag Die Cut from Confetti Reverse. It is a great hexagon shape to create focal points.  Also, I added a tiny bow on the upper side of the tag and stamped the Spanish sentiment included on the No Probllama stamp set.

Art Journal Page with Joy Clair~

Hi, Connie here with an Art Journal page using the, newly released, Saved by Grace by Joy Clair.  I have used this set so much. The flowers, the words, the font ~ all perfect.  Such a great set for all paper crafts.  

The background was created using watered down Distress Oxides.  Add color randomly and then fill in using a water brush.  Add stencils and stamps and you have created a masterpiece.  That is the way I look at it~


The images were stamped on watercolor paper, colored and then trimmed out.  The same inks used to create the background are the same inks used to color in the flowers.  I love using Distress Oxides for this, even if the inks dry up (on your non-stick mat) just add water and you are ready to go again.  No waste or mess!

The Books Of The Bible set, by Joy Clair, was used to add the Ephesians 2: 8-9 verse.  So perfect for this page!  The stencils that were used, to create the background, are by ARTplorations / Helen G.  I have found out, by doing many pages, you can't mess up.  If something isn't right, cover it up and start again.  Add a stamped image over what you don't like.  The main thing for me is that my pages are pleasing to the Lord and reflect a pure heart.  That is my goal anyway.

Have Faith...Joy Clair's Saved By Grace

Hello there Joy Clair friends!  It's Kerry and I'm back with another crafty inspiration!  As I prepare this post, I'm fighting through the most difficult days. I'm walking through a devastation to my heart like no other.  Unexpectedly, I said goodbye to my beloved pooch Mason.  Through my heart-wrenching grief and sorrow, I am immersing myself in stamping and creating, and in prayer.  It's difficult to be around anyone, I just want to hide away and escape the world.  Stamping has always been a comfort to me during hard times and has allowed me time to escape my sorrow and work through my grief.  And today, it is helping my heart, and wiping my tears.  I appreciate this gift from God and know that through stamping and creating, He gives me the most amazing and comforting embrace.  I am sure many of you understand this completely, and know you too can lean on this form of therapy when the time comes.  

I pulled the "Saved By Grace" bible Journaling set and listened to an unexpected song that came on TV.  Cyndi Lauper was on public television and was singing the song "Time after Time".  The words in this song pierced my soul.  It was everything.   So while she sang, I created...an envelope, with a message tucked inside...

The doodly flowers were stamped with VersaClair pink ink and the flowers were stamped in black and colored in green Copic markers.  I used some hot pink Bazzill cardstock to stamp the flowers and some white cardstock to stamp the leaves.  

The bold sentiment was stamped repeatedly with black ink and cut out.  I then assembled this floral panel onto a Jillibean Soup black gift bag (A2 size) that I could tuck a card into.  

I hope this post inspires you to have FAITH even when devastation hits your heart. HE will always help carry you through times of sadness, sorrow and troubles.

Baby Shark - Have a Fintastic Birthday

Hello everyone!

It's Donna with another cute card using the Joy Clair Stamp set "Baby Shark".  This is a really nice stamp set with several sentiments and images that you can use with your other sets you may have.

My card today is an A2 size card.  I cut a piece of cardstock 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 and used distress ink to create the background.  I die cut a water wavy die from my stash and adhered it to the card.  I then stamped and cut the images from the Baby Shark stamp set, colored then with copics and added then to my card and stamped the sentiment from the Baby Shark stamp set.  I finished off my card by adding some clear enamel dots.  This is a wonderful stamp set, it has cut shark images and sentiments that you can create.

Heir of God Bible Journal Entry by Jess

Hello Joy Clair fans!

 

 

It's Designer Jess here today and I'm sharing a new bible journal entry using the "Heir of God" stamp set. This is really a versatile set, as the castle can totally be used in non-Color By Faith situations too!

 

 

 

I decided to do a simple bible Journal page with it. I started by turning by bible to Romans and started reading the word. Then I just let the creativity flow from there!  I grabbed some really old Stampin' Up! Pastels for my coloring medium this time.

 

 

 

Once I had things stamped and colored, I wanted to add texture - and there is nothing better than...texture paste and stencils!

 

 

I sprinkled on some Nuvo Shimmer Powders for more shimmer and shine - and it almost ended up looking like mountains or rocks beside my castle! Love it!  I also added some sparkly gems to my crown.

Keeping It Simple

Hello, friends!  It's Karen Letchworth posting, and today I'm keeping it very simple because I want to encourage everyone that...regardless of where you are in your crafting journey (from beginners to experts).....Joy Clair has the perfect stamps for everyone!!  And....we're all here to inspire you, encourage you, and answer any questions we can.  For today's card, I used cream cardstock to stamp the apple background in red using the fun new Teacher Stamp Set.  I colored those leaves green with Copics, and I splattered some red paint on the apples using a toothbrush soaked in red paint....I just randomly (as you can see...lol) splattered it all over.  I attached a piece of blue gingham patterned paper, and wrapped some baker's twine around the card where the two papers meet.  Again, I wanted that sweet apple to be the star of this card.  Well, that, and the Joy Clair sentiment of course.I stamped the sentiment (You Make Learning Fun) from the Teacher Stamp Set onto a little journalling sticker, and placed it atop the cute stamped apples.  I love how Joy Clair's stamps always give me such crisp, clear images.  They're high-quality acrylic stamps that always give me wonderful results....whether you're an advanced stamper or a beginner, just keep it simple!  Joy Clair stamps make it SO easy to create beautiful cards that you can proudly give to your family members and friends.  Thanks for stopping by today.  There's always lots of FABULOUS inspiration here on the Joy Clair Blog, so be sure to stop by often.  Have a blessed week!
