Hello everyone... Helen is here. In my life, I am so blessed with many special friends. And I believe you are, too! Today, I would love to share these couple cards for special friends with you all.
My first card, I use one of the newly released stamp sets, Friends and Flowers Stamp Set. This stamp set is gorgeous! I love the truck, flowers and the sentiments. It is also great for all occasions and anything-goes projects. This card is easy and simple to make, too.
I stamped the truck and sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad on a watercolor paper. Then I colored the truck with Sakura Koi Watercolor and tried to create the rustic, vintage look on it. For the flowers, I used the Steadtler Marsgrapich Duo Markers and waterbrush.
After the watercoloring process, I dried the image with craft heater and then fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors.
For the background, I embossed a pink cardstock using one of the 3D embossing folder from Crafter’s Companion and then I added it on a white card base with double-sided tape.
I added the truck on in the middle of the card with 3D foam tape for extra dimension to the card.
On the second card, I use the other newly released stamp sets, Feeling Slothly Stamp Set. This stamp set is packed with adorable sloth images and sentiments for coffee-loving friends, for sure!
This is clean and simple card. I used a digital patterned paper for the background. I stamped the sloth image on a watercolor cardstock with VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink pad and then colored it with watercolor markers. After that, I dried it and fussy cut it with scissors.
I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock with VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink pad and then I trimmed it into a banner. I added both sentiment and the sloth on bottom right card with 3D foam tape.
For the left top sentiment, I stamped it on another watercolor paper with the same ink pad and then I added some metallic watercolor splatters on it, and then I cut it with scallop die, trimmed it into half, and I added it on the card with adhesive glue.
I embellished this second card with some natural burlap twine.
I hope these two simple cards can give you some inspirations to make cards for your special friends.
