Hi, Connie here with an Art Journal page using the, newly released, Saved by Grace by Joy Clair. I have used this set so much. The flowers, the words, the font ~ all perfect. Such a great set for all paper crafts.
The background was created using watered down Distress Oxides. Add color randomly and then fill in using a water brush. Add stencils and stamps and you have created a masterpiece. That is the way I look at it~
The images were stamped on watercolor paper, colored and then trimmed out. The same inks used to create the background are the same inks used to color in the flowers. I love using Distress Oxides for this, even if the inks dry up (on your non-stick mat) just add water and you are ready to go again. No waste or mess!
The Books Of The Bible set, by Joy Clair, was used to add the Ephesians 2: 8-9 verse. So perfect for this page! The stencils that were used, to create the background, are by ARTplorations / Helen G. I have found out, by doing many pages, you can't mess up. If something isn't right, cover it up and start again. Add a stamped image over what you don't like. The main thing for me is that my pages are pleasing to the Lord and reflect a pure heart. That is my goal anyway.
