Hello there Joy Clair friends! It's Kerry here and I'm excited to share a fun Father's Day card with you today. I created this card for my pops and tucked a little summer project in it for him. HEE HEE HEE.
Today, I'm featuring the new masculine/Father's Day sets called Best Dad Ever and the background stamp Tool Background. I started out by cutting and separating all the images from the background stamp. YES, you read that right, I cut the whole background apart! I wanted to be able to have each image as an individual stamp so that it would be more versatile and so I could stamp them a bit tighter together on my card. Are you afraid of cutting your stamps up? If so, you should just try it once...You'll find that the images and stamps are so much more versatile and you don't have to spend time masking and manipulating the stamp to find the perfect image.
After cutting out the background stamp, I selected the tool images and stamped them randomly over a piece of white cardstock. I then stamped the sentiment below it. Next, I chose a few spots to stamp the screw heads. I used the C3 Copic Marker to color a shadow under the images and then started to assemble the card. Layer, layer, layer.
To finish up my card, I drew a little shelf on a piece of graph paper and tucked it under my stamped image. This is a shelf I would love to have my dad make for me so that I can shelve some of my most used stamps and papers. Do you think my pops will get the hint? hee hee...
Thanks for popping over to check out my card today. I hope your day is fabulous!
