Feminine Themed Projects With Joy Clair and Bazzill Basics Paper

Hello hello hello everyone... Mother's Day just passed and I hope you all had fabulous time with your loved ones celebrating this special day. But... we don't stop there to show how much we love our moms, or anyone who has the mom role in your lives. And today, I have couple projects with feminine themed that I created using the Joy Clair new released stamps and Bazzill Basics Paper.

On my first card, I started by cutting the Mulberry Cardstock into 4.25" x 11" and folded it into an A2 card. Then, I stamped the flower from Proverbs 31 Color By Faith stamp set with VersaMark ink pad directly on the cardstock to create the floral background.

I cut the Purple Palisaded cardstock with 2 rectangle dies to create the frame, and then I added it on the card base with 3D foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment from Saved By Grace Color By Faith stamp set with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair ink pad on a vellum paper and then I sprinkled some clear embossing powder on it. I heat set it with craft heater and trimmed it into strip vellum. I added it on the card with Tombow Vellum Tape.

Then, I stamped the floral image on the Pale Rose cardstock with Twilight CP ink pad, fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors, and I added it on the card with permanent adhesive glue and some 3D foam tape.

I embellished the card with some purple sequins from my stash.

My second project is a traveler journal mixed media page. I started with adding some of the heavybody acrylic paints on the page with brayer. Then, I painted the circles with pink paint and the leaf shapes with light green paint. I dried the whole page with craft heater.

Once the paint dried, I stamped the roses with VersaFine Clair Charmink Pink ink pad and leaves with VersaFine Clair Verdant ink pad on both corners. While the ink still wet, I sprinkled them with some of the glitter clear embossing powder, and heat set them with craft heater. The roses and leaves are from the Saved By Grace Color By Faith stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment  with VersaFine Clair Glamorous ink pad and stamped the woman image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad and dried them with craft heater again. I colored the woman image with Tombow Dual Marker and Blender Pen. The sentiment and woman image are from the Proverbs 31 Color By Faith stamp set.

Then I stamped the sentiment on the Purple Palisaded cardstock with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink pad, trimmed it into a paper strip, and I added it on the page with adhesive glue.

I added some of the gold heavybody acrylic paint around the page and images with finger to create some gold-ish and vintage-ish look.

Teacher Fun

Hello friends!

 

It's Jessica here today and I'm so excited because....... it's NEW RELEASE time!!!! Today I'm sharing with you a beautiful new stamp called "Teacher". It's exactly the stamp you need right now for those end of year teacher gifts!  Of course we are still partnering with Bazzill Basics Paper for these creations.  I have two cards to share with you today. 

For this first card, I used the Dotted Swiss Cardstock for my background and neutral white for the background. Some organza ribbon and twine were used to embellish along with some candy dots.  I kept it simple.

 

 

For this second card, I also used the Dotted Swiss Cardstock and multiple shades of the solid core cardstock.  On the light purple, I used an embossing folder to add some flowers for texture.  I also added a piece of the foiled hearts cardstock along the middle for a little dimension.  I stamped the apple onto the back of a piece of the dotted swiss cardstock and fussy cut out. The sentiment was stamped using a black ink and I just added a bit of watercoloring.  I really wanted the cardstock to be the hero - so I kept the embellishments to a minimum.

It's Fiesta Time

Welcome by the Joy Clair Blog everyone, and thanks for stopping by.  Today is my day to share a bit more inspiration from the FABULOUS New Release.  The new No Prob-Llama Stamp Set that I used on my card today is SO MUCH FUN!!  I never knew I was a lover of llamas until I got this awesome new stamp set. I wtarted with some Bazzill Basics papers including the Palo Verde Green Cardstock, and the Honey Swiss Dots Cardstock layered for my base.  You will also notice a cactus patterned paper, but I didn't want to rely on just using that patterned paper because Joy Clair has so many wonderful stamp sets to match EVERY theme.....and of course, that includes cactus stamps.  I used the cactus found in the new No Prob-Llama Stamp Set as well as all the cacti found in the Blossom Stamp Set from our previous release to create a fun layered cactus garden.  Then, I stamped the partial llama from the new No Prob-Llama Stamp Set and "hid" him amongst the cactus bushes...LOL.  Isn't he adorable?All the images were colored using my Copics.  I also stamped the sentiment (Fiesta) and the cute maracas which are also from the new No Prob-Llama Stamp Set, and I attached a small green pearl accent to that sentiment spot.  There's not much else on this card other than a couple of X's that I cross-stitched with Black DMC floss on the left-hand side of my card.There's SO much going on this month at Joy Clair Stamps, and I really hope that you will stop by often to see all the wonderful inspiration from my talented teammates, and to check out each of the FABULOUS New Release stamp sets.  Happy stamping from Joy Clair Stamps.

Snarky Sharks!

Hello Friends! I hope you are having a "Jawsome" Day! Today I want to share with you two cards I created with one of the new stamp set. I like to get more bang for my buck by creating a few cards with each stamp set. Rarely do I sit down and just create one card at a time.It is east to create several cards at a time with one stamp set and card stock. Bazzil is the best card stock out there and it comes in several sizes. One size is the standard 8.5 by 11. If you cut it down the middle you can create two card A2 card bases. That is what I did to create these:

The beautiful blue and gold swirl is also by Bazzil and reminded me of ripples in the water. I used circle and banner dies to create the focal point. Copic Markers were used on the sharks to color them in. Once the sharks were colored in, I trimmed them out.  I also used foam dots to make the pop! Once the cards were assembled, I added a few dots of Nuvo Dew Drops.

I love the shark fin and wave stamp! I had to add it to the bottom the card!

The supplies I used were basic, but resulted in adorably sassy cards! Don't be afraid to just use a few elements on your cards. By layering, inking, and adding deminsion with pop dots you can give it a ton of personality! No one would ever know that you went "old school" on your design and assemblage of the card. Make sure you check out all the new stamps in the store including this one!

Joy Clair Friends and Flowers - Choose to Bloom

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a newly released Joy Clair stamp  set called "Friends and Flowers!"  

It has the most adorable truck with so many sentiments you can use on the back of the truck and inside the license plate too.  I especially like this set because it can be used for masculine and feminine cards, not just masculine ones.  So I decided to make mine very feminine looking!  Here's how I made my card:

1)  I stamped the truck and cut it out, then colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

2)  I cut a cross-stitched circle out of matching Bazzill card stock and popped the truck up with foam tape, over to one side.

3) I added the circle die-cut to the card base which was made from pretty pink Bazzill plaid card stock off the edge a little, and cut the extra off the left side.

4)  Lastly I added a double twine bow to the top of the circle die.

Grace Bible Journaling Page

Hi everyone, welcome to today's post with me Jowilna. I am sharing a Bible Journaling page I created using a a few sets together.

I simply love how vibrant and beautiful it turned out.
I combined the Martha's Flowers | Clear Stamp Set
combined with the new Saved by Grace set.

The saved by Grace set is my focal point while the rest of the stamping along with some stenciling creates a nice and interesting backdrop.

I used a combination of watercolour paint and markers to add colour to this page.



I hope you have a moment to browse all the amazing new sets released - and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Happy Mother's Day

 

Hello everyone and Happy Mother's day to all you who are Moms. I know for some today is hard, as it is for me. I lost my mom many years ago when I was the young age of 21 but  still today is a hard day seeing lots of social media pictures of everyone with their mom. So if you're also having a hard time today, for whatever reason know that I am praying for you. 

The month of may we have a couple things going on. We are collaborating with Bazzill so you will see Bazzill papers used on our projects all month. We also have a new release hop which starts tomorrow! Be sure to stop back by for the links for the hop we have lots of fabulous stamps and will be sharing them over the next couple days. 

Since the release hop starts tomorrow and my posting day is today I couldn't use one of the new sets, so I decided to use one of my favorites Heartfelt Sympathy and Hello Sentiments for the greeting. 

To create my card I started with a white top folding card base, a white panel cut down with a stitched die,  and a piece of the green dotted card stock by Bazzill as my mat. I stamped the floral image on the corner of the panel and then colored the flowers using Copic markers using E41 & R00 for the ones in the bottom corner, Y02 & Y17 for the one sticking up, V12 for the gladiolus (which were one of my moms favorites, and the YG05 & YG25 for the leaves. Next I added the greeting from the Hello Sentients set and to finish the card I added a some sequins before adhering the panel to the green mat and then to the card base.
