Hello everyone... Helen is here today. Spring is one of my favorite seasons. I always want to see new things that Spring brings into our life, and one of them is new flowers. Today, both of my cards are inspired by Spring flowers.
On both of my CAS cards, I use the newly released stamp sets, Spring Stroll Stamp Set and Easter Greetings Stamp Set.
I stamped the single lily flower image on a white cardstock with Garden Party CP Ink Pad to create the patterned background. I trimmed it 1/5 inch smaller than the green card base and then I added it on the card with Tombow Xtreme Adhesive.
I stamped the lily flower cluster on a white cardstock with Icing On Cake CP Ink Pad and then colored them with Arteza Woodless Watercolor Pencils and water brush. I dried it with craft heater and then fussy cut it with scissors.
I stamped the sentiment with Leaf Green Archival Mini Ink Pad and I trimmed it into sentiment strip. I added the flower and sentiment on the card with 3D foam tape for extra dimension to the card.
I added some splatters using white acrylic paint, water, and fan brush.
On the second CAS card, I cut out the Layered Flower Card Base and flowers from the Cutting Cafe - Layered Flowers cutting file using Silhouette Cameo 3.
I stamped the card base with the Sketchy Chevron Background Stamp with MISTI and Jet Black Archival Ink Pad, and I stamped the sentiment on the side of the card with the same ink pad, too.
I colored the flower petals with Studio7 Alcohol Markers, curled the petals with stylus, and then I stacked the flowers on the card with permanent adhesive glue. I embellished the flower with an orange large gem.
These two Spring CAS cards are easy and quick to make. I hope you all like them.
What does inspire you to create projects?
