Hello everyone... Helen is here again today. Today, I have couple cards to share with you all.
Making cards is one of my favorite thing to make and in my journey of learning, I explore some type of cardmaking style. I like both 3D style or One Layer card. What about you? Which on is your style?
My first project is a 3D acetate tent card that I created using the Spring Stroll Stamp Set and Broken Brick Background Stamp.
I found this YouTube tutorial to follow when I made this card. I love the idea using acetate plastic and give the bigger window on the front of the card.
I stamped the Broken Brick stamp on a grey cardstock with VersaMagic Cloud White ink pad and I added it on the background of the tent card.
I stamped the flowers, rain boot, and bicycle on a watercolor paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad. I colored them with Tombow Dual Markers and watercolor brush. After that, I fussy cut them with micro-tips scissors.
For the top flap and the bottom grass and fence, I used dies that I have in my stash.
I added acetate plastic on the front of the card with double sided tape. And then I added all the pieces on the card with permanent adhesive glue.
I stamped the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink pad.
As you can see in below image, this 3D acetate tent card is folded flat and fit inside a regular envelope that means you don't have to pay extra postage to mail it.
My second project today is one-layer card. I made these 2 cards using the Going Places Stamp Set and God's Promises Stamp Set.
Although these are one layer cards, I use stamping, masking, watercoloring and embossing with die technique.
I created the sky background with watercolor paint using wet-on-wet technique. Simple wet the watercolor paper with clean water and added the watercolor paint on it, let the water do the blending. I dried the background with craft heater.
Next, I stamped the cloud with VersaFine Clair ink pad and adding extra blue watercolor paint around it for extra shadow.
I created some masks for the could and then I stamped the hot air balloon on one card and the sun on the other card.
I colored the hot air balloon with watercolor paint.
I stamped the wood sign and sentiment with VersaFine Clair Ink Pad on each card.
After that I used one of the Pierced Rectangle Dies to dried-embossed each of the card for extra texture.
That's all the projects... I hope they give you some ideas to create today!
I love both styles of cards you made. But I must confess that I mostly do one layer ones. I am mostly a CAS type of card maker.

this is just darling! I love the use of the acetate. It makes it look like you can jump right into that sweet springtime scene. Both styles suit me just fine!
