Hello everyone! Monica here with a card for Joy Clair using a new Color By Faith set God's Promises. I was inspired to do the card by some newish glitter embossing powder that has been setting on my desk... for months! I saw it sitting there sparkling in is jar and I thought it would make very pretty rain drops! So I grabbed the God's Promises and picked out two images and my sentiment of choice.
I used a scrap of paper that was about the size of a bookmark from my paper stash and stamped the sentiment at the top of the scrap and used the bottom of the cloud image to give a border the stamped sentiment.
I then used the raindrops from the set and stamped them from the bottom of the cloud all the way to the bottom of the scrap with VersaMark. Than heat embossed them. The image above is before heat setting the powder. I thought about leaving this way and creating a book mark, but that thought didn't last long as I kept going!
Here you can see the embossing powder after I heat set it, don't you just love the shimmer?! I added color to the little rainbow with some basic copic colors. When I decided to make this a card I used some light blue cardstock and ran it through my Big Kick with an embossing folder. I thought it was a good fit talking about love and sunshine to be a subtle background for my main panel.
To finish my card I popped my little panel to the embossed cardbase using foam adhesive. Below is better look at the embossed raindrops from God's Promises.
I will see you again on the 19th, until then have a great day!
Wonderfully done - tfs
