Greetings all! Today I have two projects to share with you, a card and a spread I decorated in my planner. For the card I used images from two different sets Hosanna and Reckless Love, and a sentiment from Easter Greetings.
I took inspiration from Kristina Werner with her Distress Oxide color blended backgrounds. I loved here color combos, but picked colors I had on had to create my background. I knew I was going to use the greenery stamps from both Hosanna and Reckless Love sets, so I chose Vintage photo, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint. I started with the yellow in the center and blended it with the other two colors from each edge.
Once the panel was dry I stamped the leaves and vines in Versa Fine ink. I then sprinkled on White embossing powder and heat set it. I love the look of the embossing on the ink blended background.
Before adhering the panel with foam tape to the card base, I stamped my greeting. I also wrapped it with a piece of tan ribbon and tied it together with green colored twine (that was close to the Peeled Paint ink).
For my second project I used Whale Hello There as well as some images from older set that was released last year. I started with stamping the Light house and sail boat from the Lighthouse set and then drew a water line, so that I can create my water scene below. I used all the images from Whale Hello There to create my underwater scene. For the most part I just left the images stamped in the versa Clair ink. I did decide to do a little selective coloring on the layout and colored in areas that wasn't stamped inside the boxes where writing would go.
I like that it kept Clean and simple in the boxes for writing and the border is a little more decorative! Until next time!
fun and fabulous TFS
