Hi, Connie here with a journal page using the Reckless Love stamp set by Joy Clair. I love the flower and leaves on this one and the sheep is pretty cute too! The sentiments are amazing on this set. They really spoke to me!! That is one of the reasons I decided to create a journal page instead of a card.
I never really know how to explain how I create the background for a journal page. It starts with pages that I cleaned my gel press on and I continue to add color, modeling paste and ink to get the look I want. Stencils are fun to use too. The great thing is if I mess up or don't like the way the page is developing I just add more paint to cover it up and go again.
This image is showing the vintage music paper adhered in random spots on the background pages. The flower images were stamped on the vintage music paper and then painted in with acrylic paint. The sentiments are stamped on watercolor paper, with archival ink/jet black, and then torn to give a jagged edge. They were adhered in random spots and then coordinating color was added to the sentiment cluster.
The flower clusters were outlined with white acrylic ink and the pages were speckled with black (watered down) acrylic paint. I used a heat tool to get the pages good and dry.
Thanks for stopping by~
