Hello everyone... Helen is here today. There are many ways you can journal God's word. And today, I would love to share with you all Bible Journaling in two ways using the newest Color By Faith stamp sets.
The first way is using a Journaling Bible. Now, there are many version of this Journaling Bible. On my project today, I use my ESV Journaling Bible.
I applied a thin layer of clear gesso on the page using foam brush, but you also can use old credit card or palette knife. Clear Gesso will dry naturally and this way will take several minutes but will not wrinkle the page. But also you can dry the page with craft heater, but this will wrinkle the page if craft heater gets too hot. The trick is to move the craft heater often around the page and the back of the page, too.
I put the stamping foam from MISTI underneath the page for stamping pad when I do stamping on my journaling Bible becuase it is not smooth anymore, lots of bumps from previous pages. And using stamping pad, the stamping can be even and you will get crisp result.
I stamped the sentiments from Rise and Shine Stamp Set and Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set using Rhubarb Stalk and Love Letter Memento DewDrops.
For the date, I use the Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set and Calendar Fun Stamp Set and stamped them with London Fog Memento DewDrop.
The rooster and sun are from Rise and Shine Stamp Set. I stamped the rooster using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad, dried the ink, and colored it with Arteza Real Brush Pens. Then I stamped the sun with VersaFine Cheerful Ink Pad, dried it, and then colored it with Arteza Real Brush Pens, I then added the grass under the rooster just using the real brush and watercolor brush.
My second project is journaling the with Traveler Journal. I made this traveler journal out of cardstocks, mixed media papers, watercolor papers, and printing papers. I actually shared how I made this journal notebook on Joy Clair blog here.
I coated one of the watercolor page with very thin layer of gesso and then I added the light blue watercolored background using Sakura Koi Watercolors.
Using the images from the new Reckless Love Stamp Set and VersaFine Clair, I stamped the flower border on left corner top of the page and I colored the flower with Sakura Koi Watercolors.
I stamped the year 2109 using the numbers from New Year New Me Stamp Set and the line from Light Bulb Moment Stamp Set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad.
The sentiment and flourish are from Reckless Love Stamp Set and I stamped it in the middle of the page using VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad. And for the record, it is from one of my FAVORITE worship songs!!!
I colored the light and mountain image with permanent Sharpie markers.
At the bottom of the page, I stamped the mountain image from the Wild and Free Stamp Set with VersaFine Nocturne Ink Pad. I stamped it 2 times to create the border. Then, I colored it with Sakura Koi Watercolors.
I added some paint splatters on the page using the London Fog Fireworks! Spray and white acrylic paint that I mixed with water. I use small fan brush to get small splatters and medium flat brush to get bigger sizes splatters.
And final step is I created that blue frame around the page. I simply scribbled the Cotton Candy and Coconut (White) Gelatos around the edges and blended the color with my finger.
I hope these two ways of journaling give you some ideas how to journal God's living word in creative ways. Have a blessed and wonderful day!
Great ideas - tfs
