The Palm leaves are stamped on the card front with black archival ink. The leaves are colored in using Distress Oxide ink watered down. The background is created using Distress Oxide inks that are watered down to make small puddles of color. That makes it easy to turn the card front over (to the front side) and pick up color. I kept during this until I was happy, with amount of color for the background.
Rick Rac was added, under the HOSANNA word, with a small button. The card front was matted on brown cardstock and then adhered to the card base. The card front was then speckled with black ink. I love the mix media feel this card has and my hands weren't even that messy. Very fun technique to try that works great with different stamp sets. It is best that the set has a focal stamp, repeat that image and then create the background. That's the recipe~ Joy Clair has lots of sets that this will work with!!!
