Hello Everyone! It's Lindsay here from the Design Team and I have a fun and sunny Christmas card to share with you today! I live in Iowa and it is super cold here at the moment. To warm things up a bit I wanted to use the Penguin Tropical Christmas stamp set! This set is perfect for those of you who may live in a warmer climate during the holiday months, or just for those of us who want to do a little wishful thinking!! You can watch the video tutorial down below to see exactly how I put my card together!
For this card I did quite a bit of stamping and fussy cutting. I stamped all of my images with Versafine Clair ink and then cut each one with detail scissors. But I do want to remind you that if you have an electronic cutting machine, Joy Clair offers FREE SVG CUT FILES for each set you purchase from them! So if you do have an electronic cutting machine, no fussy cutting for you! After cutting out all of the pieces, I used my alcohol markers to color each one.
For the background on my card I did a bit of die cutting using a wave die with blue card stock and a hill die with kraft card stock. To add more dimension to each piece, I blended on a bit of Distress Ink to the edges. I also added a little blue distress ink to the white card stock panel that I was attaching all the pieces to for a sky effect. Then it was time to start to bring all of the elements together!
If you want to see how I put all of my elements that I created together to finish the outside of the card, be sure to watch the video above! And with the outside finished, I didn't want to forget about the inside of the card! I finished the inside very simply with a few coconut stamps and a sentiment from the same Penguin Tropical Christmas Stamp Set!
I hope you all enjoyed today's video tutorial! If you are interested in the Joy Clair Stamps I used on my card today, you will find it linked down below! Until next time, Happy Crafting!!
