I'm back I this month, this time I'm sharing two projects with you. Both use the new set Living Water. My first project is a clean and simple card using Perfect Pearls. I often forget about my perfect pearls, but I've been watching Kristina Werner's Christmas series and even re-watching some recaps from years past. One was a perfect pearl card and it made me want to pull mine out again!
Perfect Pearls are easy to use, but can be a little messy if you aren't careful. I started by stamping my image in some VersaMark ink and picked three separate colors to "color" my image with. I carefully brushed Heirloom Gold over the antlers to start and then used a bit of Forever Blue for the water.
Once those two areas were done, I added Cappuccino to color the body. I wasn't as careful with this step since the other areas were already colored. I then used a clean brush to remove the loose powder and spritzed with water to set the Perfect Pearls.
I like how he looks with the three colors and not just a solid color. If you don't have Perfect Pearls to color him in this way you could always use markers to color the stamp or carefully ink it with ink pads. I then trimmed down my panel and layered it on some wood grain pattern paper. I also ran the front of my card base through my Big Kick with a die and embossing pad to get the stitched wood grain pattern on it.
For project number two I did a little bible journaling. I stamped the images from Living Water to create my scene in the bottom half of the journaling margin using VersaFine Clair.
Then I used my Prismacolor pencils to color my scene in. I even highlighted a few words in the verse by tracing the words with pencil as well.
Thanks for stopping by today, until next time!
Monica
