Hello all Monica here and it's my turn to share a card I made using Therm-O-Web products and Joy Clair stamps! First I want to say how excited I was for this collaboration, I've been a little "sacred" to play with the foil since I don't have a laminating machine and been worried I'd ruin the foil. I've a roll or two in my stash that I got on sale, but this collab forced me to get over the fear and give it a try. I love it... I still need to practice with it a little more, but the possibilities are awesome!!!
I decided to do an easier way to get the foil attached to my die cuts, stick it! I have some double sided sticker sheets in my stash and used those. I attached the tape sheet to some cardstock and ran them through my BigKick with some leaf dies to cut my shapes. I dislodged the shapes from the paper, pulled off the backing paper and randomly added the foil to the leaves.
I then die cut an oval shape and stamped one of the Turkeys from Turkey Talk. How fun is this set with the sentiments! I used copics to color him and after he was colored I decided on which phrase from the set that I wanted to use. I originally thought I'd layer this on a blue cardbase that coordinated with the sign and hat band, but didn't like how the leaves looked on it, so I changed to white. I adhered the colored panel on the base with foam tape, so that I could glue the leaves around it, spaced as evenly as I could, trying to frame the main image.
