Hello Joy Clair peeps... Helen is here. Today, I have two mixed media, clean-and-simple cards that I created using Joy Clair new stamp sets, Rinea Foil Papers and Rinea Ghost Ink.
On my first mixed media, CAS card, I use the Good Vibes Stamp Set. This set is super cool and perfect for sending out some good vibes.. And I am in love with that JEEP for sure!!!
I started with stamped the background using the Broken Brick Background Stamp with Gelli Print Plate and Grey Acrylic Paint on a cream cardstock.
Next, I stamped the couple splatter images from the Uh-Oh Ink Splatters Stamp Set using second-generation stamping technique with VersaFine Clair Purple Delight Ink Pad and Warm Breeze Ink Pad.
I trimmed this background panel slightly smaller that A2 Card base (4" x 5.25"). And then, I cut one of the pastel green/gold foil paper from the Pastels Foiled Paper Variety Pack into the hill grass shape. I added it at the bottom of the panel with green side up with dries-clear adhesive glue.
I added this finished background panel on the A2 card front with adhesive permanent runner.
I stamped the jeep with VersaFine Clair Nocturne Ink Pad on a white cardstock, and then I fussy cut it with micro-tip scissors. I cut out the front windshield with craft knife and then added a piece of acetate plastic on the back of it as the glass window.
I stamped the jeep one more time with Rinea Ghost Ink Pad on the gold side of the same pastel green/gold foil. I let it dried for couple minutes, and then wiped it off with baby wipe. It did not came off totally but it gave the rustic, distressed look on the jeep.
I fussy cut the metal trims of the jeep only: front panel, windshield trim, and side mirrors. I added the gold foiled cut outs on the stamped image with dries-clear adhesive glue.
Next, I colored the rest of the jeep with Leisure Arts Premium Colored Pencils.
For the surf board, I stamped the image on paste purple foiled paper from the same paper pack with Rinea Ghost Ink Pad and then wiped it off with baby wipe. I trimmed around it with scissors and I added it on the back of the jeep with dries-clear adhesive glue.
I stamped the sentiment on the card with VersaFine Cheerful Ink Pad and I stamped again with VersaFine Nocturne Ink Pad slightly above the first stamped for shadow effect.
I added the finished jeep image on the card with 3D foam tape.
On my second mixed media CAS card, I used the new Life Is Sweet Stamp Set. This stamp set really sweet and adorable to create projects that bring smiles to the recipient faces. Don't you agree?
I started with creating the background panel using Gelato Pastel Set. I scribble the colors just on the top of the watercolor paper, blended with my finger and water, and then I sprayed it with Distress Sprayer and let the pigments dripping down the paper. I set it aside to dry while working on the elements.
I used the pastel green/gold foiled paper from the Pastel Foiled Paper Pack. I stamped the pineapple image using StazOn Jet Black Ink Pad on the gold side of the foiled paper and pastel green side for the leaves. After the images dried, I fussy cut them with micro-tip scissors and added the leaves on the pineapple image with dries-clear adhesive glue. I added couple acrylic blocks on it to hold it down while drying.
For the sentiment, I trimmed one of the Sapphire/Gold Foiled Paper Pack into 1.5" x 4.25" strip. I stamped the sentiment on the blue side with Rinea Ghost Ink Pad, let it dry about a minutes, and then wiped it off with baby wipe.
I added the gelato/watercolored background on top folded card with dries-clear adhesive glue. Next, I added the sentiment strip on the card, and then the pineapple. I wrapped around some of the nature twine ribbon and finished it with some of the clear/metallic sequins.
That wrapped up my post today... I hope you all enjoy them and inspired to keep creating with Joy Clair. Have wonderful day and thank you for stopping by!
