Hello Everyone!
It's Ceal to share with you today a card using one of our new releases, Life's a Breeze, this is a summer set with kites but I love to think outside the box and find other ways to use stamps sets and wanted to show how versatile this set can be, because as you can see there are no kites on my sample. See that beautiful butterfly? well it's actually a kite, how cool is that?
I will explain how I made the butterfly out of kites below when I describe how I created this card, first I wanted to give you another idea that you can do with the other kites in this set. You can take the kite that is underneath the sentiment "enjoy your day" and stamp it several times on patterned paper fussy cut them out then cutting them in half and placing them together creating a beach umbrella like the one below to make a beach scene with it. You could cut them in half and make a banner for your card and also make large and small butterflies to of four of the kites.
Now for the deets on my card, to create it I started with a Island Indigo card base and a white panel cut down with a stitched die. I stamped the floral image from the Springtime Flowers set along the right side and colored them using Copic markers. Next using the MISTI I stamped one of the smaller kites from the Life's a Breeze set and then moved my paper over just a tad and restamped the kite to give me the second wing, then used a fine tipped sharpie to create his body. I used Copic markers to color the butterfly as well. To finish the card I added a greeting from the Hello Sentiments set, this is one of my favorite sets because of the large hand lettered font.
So creative! Thanks for all the cool ideas to get more out of this set!
