Hello Joy Clair lovers... HAPPY EASTER! We hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Easter weekend with you loved ones celebrating the victory in Jesus, our living Redeemer! Death nor grave cannot hold Him. Jesus is alive and the power that rose Him from the death is not living in us.
I have a Bible journaling page to share with you today. The reading is from Mark 16:1-8. If you continue reading the whole chapter 16, you will also find more proofs that JESUS is ALIVE!
I started with adding some clear gesso on my page with foam brush. Thin later should do well. I let it dried (or you also can use craft heater to dry it). After that, I put the Mini MISTI stamping foam under the page for stamping mat (handy tool, isn't it? :D)
I stamped the tomb, cross, and both sentiment from the My Redeemer - Color By Faith Stamp Set with Ranger Black Archival Ink. I removed the foam mat and then I dried the stamped images with craft heater before start coloring them.
First, I colored the tomb with Ice Spruced Distress Oxide ink. I added the ink on craft mat, and picked it up with waterbrush. The color turns into light grey which is good for the rock and shadow.
For the rest of the images, I used Arteza Woodless Watercolor Pencils to color them. I colored page lightly with the light blue watercolor pencil and used waterbrush to blend around.
Then I colored the cross with 2 shades of brown watercolor pencil and I blended them together with waterbrush. Next, I added the red outline just right inside the black line of the heart and using waterbrush I pulled the color inside to fill the rest of the heart.
Last step, I drew the sunshine lines around the cross, and using waterbrush to turn them in to watercolored sunshine.
The Bible journaling page is done. I am so very thankful for this creative way we can meditate God's word and also expressing our love toward him through artwork. And if you are like me who do not draw or paint well, then stamps are our choice :) Joy Clair has an amazing Bible Journaling - Color By Faith stamp collection!
I hope you all enjoy this post today :) Have a wonderful blessed day!
