Monica here to share some projects with you today. First up is my most recently make art journal page using Joy Clair Fishers of Men stamp set. I have to say I'm enjoying branching out a bit in my creative projects and I'm having so much fun making art journal pages. I've wanted to make them for a while and have inspired by Joy Clair!
When it came time use Fishers of Men I know that I wanted to create an underwater look. So I broke out my distress inks, minis mister, MisterHuey spray and a then got started on my background. Added some of the fish net in silver for more visual texture.
Stamped the fish using multiple colors, I wanted them to stand out on the blue background. I used my misti for the sentiment on the page, just incase I need to stamp more than once (which I did) Then added the fish on the page around the sentiment.
For this card I started with a no line watercoloring technique. Once I got the tub colored I put the panel back in the Misti and stamped with VersaMark so that I could emboss with white embossing powder.
I stamped the soap from Washed by the Blood avoiding the letters, so that I could stamp the word boy in the soap. I added the duck to the water and colored it yellow. With the size of the soap and duck, I thought the tub looked like the size of a cute baby tub.
Once I stamped the sentiment I added all of my layers onto a pre-embossed card base from my stash. Felt it needed just a bit of sparkle on the bubbles, so I added some Wink of Stella and topped it off with glossy accents.
Have a great day, until next time!
