I wanna thank Amanda, Christy, and Martha for giving me another spot in the team. It is going to be a wonderful crafty adventure with amazing ladies!!! A little bit about me...I am from Indonesia and now living in Ohio with my amazing husband and 2 beautiful daughters. I am a stay-at-home mom and wife. At home, I do some volunteer works as a translator to couple non-profit organizations, YouVersion - Indonesian translation team, and Love God Greatly, an online women Bible study ministry. My husband and I serve with Youth Ministry at our local church. We also missionaries to Indonesia. At my free time, I like to spend time in my craft room working on projects. My crafting journey started when I was at middle school by doing some school paper crafting and sewing projects, but then I took a long break when I was at collage. Then, I started scrapbooking in 2008, card-making in 2010, Bible Journaling in late 2014, and I started learning more Mixed Media and wood-burning in 2016. My favorite crafting time is when I can create projects with my daughters and friends. I am so very thankful for every single moment God has given to us to create and share the joy, encouragement and love of God through the handmade gifts. To read more about my life journey and projects, meet me at my blog.
And for my first project with Joy Clair this year, I created this clean-and-simple jar of hearts card. It looks like it has layers, but this card is flat just like one layer with thick cardstock :) On my card today, I used the Hugs and Smiles Stamp Set, Candy Hearts Stamp Set, and Doodle Flowers Stamp Set.
First, I stamped the jar from the Doodle Flowers Stamp Set with London Fog Memento DewDrop ink.
Next, I created several heart masks to use for the stamping inside the jar. I used Memento DewDrop Inks: Angel Pink, Rose Bud, and Rhubarb Stalk, to stamp the hearts from Candy Hearts Stamp Set on post-it-notes paper.
Using Silver and Gold color pencils I colored the jar and did the shadowing around the stacked hearts.
And then, I traced the jar outline with Uni-Ball Signo Gold Gel Pen. I do love this gel pen, the result is metallic that makes the jar looks like gold metallic painted jar, don't you think?
I think the hearts need some extra sparkle as well, so I grabbed my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay Brush Pen, to add some glitter on all the hearts and look at them now! So sparky :D
After worked on those images, I then stamped the sentiment from Hugs and Smiles Stamp Set with London Fog Memento DewDrop Ink with Mini MISTI. And I trimmed the cardstock down to fit in the middle of the card. It is 3.25" x 5.5"
I first layer the red card base with pink glitter paper that I trimmed half inch narrower than my card base. I added the glitter paper on the card with Art Institute Glitter Designer Dries Clear Adhesive. And then I added the top panel on it with the same adhesive.
I finished my card with some pink twine ribbon that I tied up a bow. And I hope you enjoy this post and find inspiration to create today using the Hugs and Smiles Stamp Set, Candy Hearts Stamp Set, and Doodle Flowers Stamp Set.
