Hello everyone... Helen is here today with two projects that I created with the new Color By Faith collection - Jesus Is My Jam, and the new Everyday Collection - Christmas Cocoa.
My first project is a Bible journaling page. I love David and his heart. How much he loved God and most of the time his talked to God in songs and psalms. Today's verses are from 2 Samuel 22. It is about his song of thankful to God for delivering him from his enemies. This whole passage fill with praises to who God was and for what He had done to David's life.
I highlighted the whole passage using watercolor paints with flat watercolor brush, and also drew boxes on verses that spoke to me personally using Orange Sakura Micron o.5 Pen. I wrote a note on one of the journaling space with Black Sakura Micron 0.5 Pen.
When the page was dried, I stamped the music notes on the page using Black Coal Chalk Edger Ink. Then I also used the same Chalk Edger Inks (Olive Vine, Rusty Key, and Black Coal) to stamp the images and sentiment on the journal space.
I keep it clean-and-simple with my journaling so I can still read God's word and promises :)
And my second project today is a mixed media card with no-line watercoloring technique. I love watercoloring and no-line watercoloring is a challenge for me :)
First I stamped the cup, s'mores, and candy cane on a watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink using Mini MISTI stamping tool. And then I colored them using Arteza Watercolor Real Brush Pens and using small round watercolor brush, I pulled the color and turned them into watercolor paint.
I used my craft heater to dry them. And then using small palette knife, I applied some White Gesso on the s'mores to give them some puffy texture on them.
I stamped and heat embossed the big snowflake in the middle of the cup and added a clear rhinestone gem on it.
I trimmed the panel into 3" x 3". I decided to add some brown shadow at the bottom of the cup so it looks like sitting on a surface instead of floating :)
For the sentiment, I stamped the 2 phrases on a white cardstock and cut it out into a banner. I adde some shadow with Vintage Photo Distress Ink using sponge dauber.
I used the Christmas patterned papers I had in my stash as the background on the card and border. Then I added the watercolored panel on it with thin 3D foam tape. And then I added the sentiment banner on it with thicker 3D foam tape.
I also stamped some of the snowflakes that come from the same stamp set on a white cardtock, and I fussy cut them using micro-tip scissors. I added the snowflakes on the card as embellishments, and finished the card with some of the clear rhinestone gems for extra bling on the card.
That's all my projects to share with you today. I hope they give you inspirations. And to find more inspirations and news updates, make sure to follow Joy Clair at:
