Hello crafty friends and welcome Tosha Leyendekker as our September Guest Designer. This month we are so honored to have Tosha with us.
Welcome Tosha Leyendekker!!!
I started by creating the camo background. I used a piece of light pink cardstock for my base, and added the camo print on top going from lightest to darkest. I used pigmented inks, so I dried them with a heat tool between layers: Whisper White (Stampin' UP!), Worn Lipstick (Ranger Distress Oxide) and Onyx Black (Versafine).
Next, I stamped the boot image onto X-Press It Cardstock with Tuxedo Black (Memento) ink, and colored them with Copics: N9, N7, N5, N3, N1, RV13, RV11
I wanted to include the dog tags, so I got out my Misti and used it to stamp the tags onto X-Press It Cardstock. To separate the sentiment, I lined it up in the Misti so the word "Fight" would be center in one of the tags. I then taped off the rest of the sentiment using Repositionable Tape, inked it up, removed the tape, and stamped it in the middle of the tag. I did the same with the rest of the sentiment in the other tag. If you don't have a Misti, don't worry. It's easy to line up since the images are clear.
I then colored the tags with Copics: N5, N3, N1
I used some pink beaded chain to connect the tags. (More girly than the ball chain... ;)
