Hello everyone... Helen is here today :) I have a Bible journaling page process to share with you all. On my page today, I am using the Bee Kind - Color by Faith Stamp Set with Gelatos, Stamper's Big Brush Pens and Sparkle Glitter Pen.
First step is to create the background. I added couple used copy papers under the pages to avoid some color transfering. Next, Randomly I scribbled some of the the Gelatos (Butter Cream, Lemon, Mango, Tangerine) on the Bible page without adding any coat of gesso. I used damped watercolor brush to blend the colors. Also, if you want to, you can add thin coat of clear gesso on your Bible page. I did that sometimes, especially when I worked with lots of water.
There are 2 ways you can dry the page, first let it air dry. It won't too long since it is use less water. But also, you can dry it with craft heat gun. This way you need to be very careful to not get too hot so the page won't wrinkle or shrink.
My bible is so bulky and pretty bumpy with all the embellishments that I used on pages, so I added a piece acetate and fun foam that I cut out to use as mat and stamping mat to put under that Bible page. I also added a piece of craft mat that I cut out to fit for Bible journaling. You don't have to do this step if you have a flat enough surface for stamping. I skip this mats when I work on my new journaling Bible.
On the dry background, I stamped the honey comb images using the Walnut Brown - Stamper Big Brush Pen. Stamper Big Brush Pens are India ink pens that dry permanent. I added some of the ink directly on the stamp and stamped it on the page. You need to work pretty fast with this stamping technique becuase you want the ink will still wet when you stamp.
Then, I added little more ink on the stamped image and using my finger I pulled the colors to fill in the honey combs.
Next, I stamped the sentiment on the page and the bee trails with Black - Stamper Big Brush after that. Using one of the PITT Artist Pen, I wrote the phrase above the sentiment, and also drew a box to highlight the verse.
For the other honey comb and bees, I stamped them on patterned papers with Ranger Black Archival Ink and fussy cut them. I added some Butter Cream and Mango Gelatos to color them. For the shadow, I used the Walnut Brown Stamper Big Brush Pen with the same technique I did with the honey combs.
I added some Coconut Gelato randomly on the page with my finger. Then I glued the honey comb cut out on the page with some wrinkle-free glue stick.
After I added the bees on the page with 3D foam tape, I decided to give them some sparkle by adding some glitter using the Spectrum Nior Sparkle Brush Pen.
When I was done, I cleaned all my stamps using Joy Clair Stamp Cleaner and wiped them off with baby wipes.
I hope this page will encourage our to continue bless others with sweet words and for you to continue to spend your time with the LORD through Bible journaling. You also can find more details inspirations from the Design team at:
