Helen Gullett:
Today, I have a fun Christmas card using the Holly Jolly Santa Clear Stamps. This stamp set is SUPER ADORABLE!!! It's loaded with cute images and beautiful sentiments. And I have tutorial for you how I created this card.
First, I stamped the jolly Santa image with the Mini MISTI with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad. This ink pad is my favorite ink to work with any alcohol ink. After stamping it, I cleaned the stamp with Joy Clair Stamp Cleaner.
Still have my paper on the Mini Misti, I colored it with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers. A tip for you, if you accidentally color outside the line with alcohol marker, simply use the Colorless Marker (Blender Marker) to remove the ink. That's what I did :)
Next step, I created the background with stamping the Ho Ho Ho phrase all over the front of a White Card with Memento Dew Drop. I used Mini MISTI as stamping pad :)
And then I stamped the sentiment with 2 colors. Using Memento Dew Drops, stamping 2 colors on one stamp image is super easy.
Then I created a strip for the border. I cut out 5.5" x 3/4" black card stock, added the 1/4" Scor-Tape on it. Before peeling the paper off the tape, I made sure it glued perfectly by pressing it with my bone folder. And then I added the Gold DecoFoil. Using my finger, I rubbed it gently and then peeled off the foil. And WOALAH! Black and Gold border strip is done.
I also added some Stickles on the Santa for extra bling on his hat, coat, and boots. Putting the card together is very simple. First I added the paper strip border with Tombow Mono Permanent Adhesive. Next, I added the sentiment on the Santa, overlapping them each other, to make look like Santa standing behind it. And I added them on the card with 3D Foam Tape.
That's my Christmas card for you today. See you soon!!!
LeeAnn McKinney
Greetings friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here today with a Christmas in July tag I made using Joy Clair stamps. For this project I used the "Three Wise Men" stamp set.
To make my project I used Recollections 110 lb weight card stock as my base. I stamped the wise men with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Gold embossing powder and heat set it, I did the same with the stars and used yellow embossing powder for them.
While in stamping mode, I stamped the sentiment on a second piece of card stock.
Once that was complete I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the robes of the wise men.
I followed that up with using my distress inks in Seedless Preserves, Tumbled Glass and Hickory Smoke and blended them for the sky, and a bit lighter towards the bottom of the tag and left it lighter to act like a halo around the men.
Once this was done I used my Gina Marie Stitched Tag Dies to cut the project to the size desired. I used my Perfect Punch to add a hole in the desired spot, and then add a gold star brad so the tag would turn to reveal the sentiment.
This project will go in my Christmas Box with the cards I have made in the past six months in preparation for this years holiday season.
I hope you have enjoyed my project today, and that it gives you inspiration in getting your Christmas projects started early. Please be sure to use the 10% discount code of CIJ17 when making your purchase at the JoyClair Shop from July 17-21.
