I hope everyone had enjoyed all the wonderful projects created using the Misti and Joy Clair stamps. I am usually behind the scenes during the the blog hops, but I decided this time I would join in. We are close to the end of the hop and I am blown away by all these creative ladies and their wonderful projects!
Today I am going to show you how I created this card using the Misti and some Joy Clair stamps.
I wanted a very organic non traditional look to this, I have had this idea in my head for sometime to create something that was just a little different but still simple.
The supplies I used are:
- The Misti
- 2 A4 size cuts of water color paper
- A4 size card
- Spring Time Flowers Clear Stamp Set
- Hello Sentiments Clear Stamp Set
- Ranger embossing ink
- Ranger embossing powder (silver)
- Ranger embossing powder (white)
- Heat gun
- Water color paints
- Double sided foam tape.
- Silver ranger stamp ink
- Double sided tape
I started out by setting up my stamps where I wanted them to go. Since I am going to have a layered look I wanted to make sure they would look right so I lined them all up to start out with.
I embossed the sayings-Sending birthday wishes first using the embossing ink and the silver Ranger powder.
After I let that cool back down I went ahead with my water color and did a wash over that part of the card and let that dry.
On the second sheet of water color paper I stamped the two dandelions and embossed them with the shimmery white.
I also did a water color wash over this and let it dry.
After everything was dry I cut out my sentiment. I wasn't going for a particular shape I wanted to to flow at the bottom. After that I rubbed some silver ranger ink around the cut edge to give just a hint of silver to go along with the embossing.
Using the double sided foam I placed the sentiment on the main water color part of the card. Then using regular double sided tape I placed my card face on my A4 size card.
I hope you like the results as much as I did.
Thanks so much for stopping. And be sure to leave comments during the hop so you can be entered to win a one of two $25 Joy Clair Stamps Gift Card or Certificate and MISTI (original or mini, your choice) and one of two $25 Joy Clair Stamps Gift Certificate.
Joy Clair winners will be announced HERE in Joy Clair Blog at the end of the month and MISTI winner will be announce on My Sweet Petunia Blog on April 14.
