Greetings crafty friends. LeeAnn here with some fun projects I completed using the Joy Clair Easter Eggs stamp set. Let me just say I had a lot of fun making these, and I really stepped out of my normal clean and simple crafting to complete them.
The first project is a fun Easter morning scene.
In order to complete this project first, I used my Scan n Cut to cut the chick and egg images using the SVG files provided by Joy Clair. I then used my Big Shot and dies from Lawn Fawn to cut the grass and hillsides., these were all cut from white Recollections 110lb card stock. Once my items were all cut and I was happy with the layout, I went to work with my inks to actually bring my project to life.
Once my items were all cut and I was happy with the layout, I went to work with my inks to actually bring my project to life.
The base is an A2 size and I started with Powderpuff chalk inks and my distress daubers to ink up a sky, grass, and hillside background.
While the scene was off to the side drying I went to work with the most important part, the stamping of the images on the SVG cuts. I stamped each of the images on the matching cut, and then I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color the images.
Using Foam Dimensionals and score tape I started putting the project together.
This second project was really fun, and I will be making more of these for my grandson and nephews for Easter gifts.
First I found a pattern paper that I wanted to use in my stash, however since it isn't really seen a solid color paper could be used as well.
Dimensions cut are 4 x 6 sheet of one-sided pattern paper. I folded the page over to form a cone with the edges meeting in the back with a 1/4 inch overlap, I then used my bone folder to flatten and score tape to close. I then had a piece of 6-inch ribbon from my stash that I adhered around the top edge.
For this example I did only stamp the front of the basket, however next time I will stamp the entirety and then score, fold and close.
This flower cookie was actually a gift from my daughter and I thought it would be perfect to use for this project as a prop.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I hope I have given you some good inspiration using this great stamp set.
