Hello everyone... Helen is here today. When I read my Bible, I will write and do art journal on both side of the journal columns, and also sometimes, I will need extra space for another one if my reading end up on the same page. This is when I found the solution to use vellum. I am so thankful for those who came up with this idea before me :) And today, I would like to share with you a simple and easy way to add the vellum insert on your journaling Bible.
For my journaling today, it is from Matthew 28:1-10. Easter is the celebration of our Lord Jesus has risen, and defeated death. God is glorified by the obedience of Christ. We are forgiven and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ. This is a celebration!
I use the He Has Risen - Bible Journaling Clear Stamps to create my vellum journaling page.
First, I measured the vellum to fit the Bible page. I used pencil to mark the vellum and then cut it out with paper trimmer. Next, using MISTI, I stamped the cross and sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink pad. When the ink dried well, I flipped the vellum and added the Lemon Gelato on it. Using my finger to create the sunburst from the middle of the cross outward.
Then I added the thin double sided tape on the side where would go to the middle of the page. I peeled off the tape and added it to the Bible. Very carefully not to push it too hard while placing it. Once you are sure, then you can rub your finger on the page to make sure the tape attached well. I close the Bible to make sure it is glued well. I also use the same color gelato to highlight my verses.
Here are the close ups of the finish vellum insert:
It is very easy to do it. I hope this tutorial will inspire and give you idea to add extra journaling page to your Bible.
THANK YOU so much for visiting me today. May you all have a wonderful blessed day!
