Greetings Joy Clair friends and fellow crafters. Today I am here with Joy Clair and the “Be Brave” stamp set from the February 2017 release.
For this project, I started off with a piece of Ranger Watercolor paper. I wet the paper down and just started adding layers of green watercolor using my Ganzi Tambi set. After layering greens using a paper towel to soak up excess water, and adding more greens, I finally achieved the desired shade.
After allowing this panel to dry overnight, I broke out something I had never used before, a product called Perfect Pearls. Mind you I have had them for 2 years now, and have FINALLY used them. And I am mad at myself for waiting this long.
When I was thinking about this project and the stamps to use, I saw the wreath with the “be Brave” in the center, however, I wanted to use them as different colors, so I CAREFULLY did a little stamp surgery. I cut the sentiment from the middle of the wreath so now they are 2 stamps.
I then really went to work on this project. First I positioned the wreath in the center of the panel and used Versamark to stamp it, I then brushed on a small amount (really small as a little goes a very long way) of the silver Perfect Pearls and it only stuck to the Versa mark. I then die the same with Gold, Copper, and Bronze for the 3 feathers. I then placed the sentiment and stamped with Versafine in Black Onyx. Using a black permanent marker I added the “strings” holding the feathers.
I then cut this panel down and adhered it to a piece of WRMK pattern paper. I then adhered that to a peach card base, which then completed my a2 card with this wonderful stamp set.
