Greetings friends and fellow crafters. Today I am here on the Joy Clair blog with some fun projects I have made.
This first one just came to me a couple weeks ago when I was playing with some new stencils I had, and I thought wow, with the stockings we really need a fireplace to hang the stockings on. SO... here is what I made....
For this project I used the Christmas Borders set for the Sentiment, Stockings and Candy Canes. The fire was made using the Ignite set. The stocking holders and Christmas tree are brads from my stash. The fireplace mantle is DCWV pattern paper and the fireplace itself was made with a DCAM Bricked stencil and BG1 Spectrum Noir Marker.
For those of you that follow my blog, you know that quite recently a little princess named Jules joined our family. My granddaughter is just as amazing as her mom was when she was small. One day I came across a you-tube video and knew I had to put it to use.
The sets I used for this project were Oh Baby! and Wonderland Letters. It was actually quite easy.
With a candle purchased at Dollar Tree, the first photo I stamped the images on the shiny side of white tissue paper. I then colored them with my Spectrum Noir markers and let dry. While that was drying I used Bubblegum pigment ink and stamped Juliet.
Once the baby image was dry I cut it to size and held it against the candle with parchment paper. Using my heat tool I set it so that it the wax melted enough to the tissue paper to hold it. I did the same with the back side with her name. And the candle was complete.
Don't forget to play along with the November Color Challenge you have until the end of November. We would love to see your creations. You will have a chance to win a $25.00 gift card to purchase anything in the store. Good luck if you decide to play!
