Joy Clair's Merry Christmas and More

Hello, Joy Clair friends! It is Jessi from the design team. I hope you had a wonderful weekend! I actually had a little time to sit down and get crafty. That is always a great way to spend the weekend!

Today, I have a couple projects to share with you.

I am showcasing two of the newest Joy Clair stamp sets.

First up, is the Merry Christmoose stamp set:

This was such a fun card to create. First, I stamped the moose image onto white cardstock. The image is colored in with a variety of markers and cut out. To create the background of the card, I started with a piece of blue cardstock. The tree image is inked in green and stamped onto the blue cardstock. Once the ink dried, I randomly colored in snow around the tree. The snowy hill is made using a stitched border die. The hill is attached to the bottom of the blue cardstock. The moose is glued on top of the snow hill. I attached the completed scene to a festive print, which is then attached to the kraft card base. To complete the card, I stamped the sentiment at bottom of the card.

Next up is a project using the Away in a Manger stamp set:

Earlier this month, I used this stamp set on a Bible page. I wanted to try something different for my next project. I had bought some wooden pieces a few months ago and had no clue what I was going to do with them. I have seen a few Christmas ornaments made with them, so I wanted to give it a try. I simply stamped, the image onto the wood piece. I tried to color in the image with colored pencils, but did not like the outcome of the product, so I decided to re-do the stamping and chose to leave the image uncolored. I used one of the word stamps on the back side of the wood. I attached the festive ribbon to the top to complete the project.
