Hello everyone... Helen is here today wanna share with you a Bible journal page.
We often hear the phrase "Fight the good fight", especially when we would want to encourage someone. I am encouraged and inspired when I read from 1 Timothy 6:11-16. This is the truth where we, as follower of Christ, are encouraged to fight the good fight for our faith. God is with us and even more... He has won the war and gave us the victory through Jesus Christ!
"But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, to keep the commandment unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which he will display at the proper time—he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen." 1 Timothy 6:11-16 (read online here)
I use the Color By Faith - God's Army stamp set on my journaling Bible today with stamping with Big Stamper's Brush Pens, watercoloring with Gelatos, and masking technique.
First I scribble some gelatos on the page. And then using a damp baby wipe (I squeezed some of the water out before using it) I blended the colors to create the watercolored bckground. Make sure you do not wet the page too much if you do not prep the page with clear gesso or other medium.
I added a fun foam under the page for extra padding to stamp. Using Black Big Stamper's Brush Pen, I stamped the boots on the page.
I created a mask for the boots by stamping it on post it note (masking paper works well, too), then I fussy cut it using micro-tip scissors. I added the mask on the boots, and started stamping the splat images using Big Stamper's Brush Pens around the boots.
When I took the mask off, you can see the images look like behind and under the boots. Then using the red Big Stamper's Big Brush, I stamped the sentiment on the page.
This is my preferences, I like to be able to read the verses, so I used more Gelatos and PITT Artist Pen to highlight the verses that I read and meditate. And do not covering the verses with the image.
Thank you for visiting me today. I hope this journaling page can inspire you to spend your time with the LORD and create for Him, too.
Have a blessed day!
