Hello Joy Clair fans....Penny here today with a bit of Bible journaling. I have had so much fun with this new outlet for creativity. Turn on some Christian music, get out your Bible and some supplies and follow along with me today.
I have figured out now after about 3 months of journaling, that I have to make a sketch before I begin on an actual page in the Bible. With card making, I just wing it. If I don't like how something turns out, I throw it away. With Bible journaling, that is not an option. You might want to try sketching before stamping. :)
Start with the background by adding Pan Pastels with your finger or a sponge. I had no intention of doing solid colors, but more of a splotchy look.
I absolutely love the font from the Lift Me Up stamp set....too cute!!! I stamped everything on this page with VersaFine Imperial Purple ink. Using Black ink really covers up the words, yet the Purple ink, though still dark lets the words show through.
I did try using my Misti stamping tool for the Angel, but as you can see the paper must have shifted when I did a second stamping to darken the image. I can live with this as it seems my angel is animated in moving her wings. :)
Using the same Imperial Purple ink and my Misti tool....this stamping of the sentiments came out perfect.
I hope you are inspired to try your hand at Bible journaling...Joy Clair has some really cute stamps in their Color by Faith line.
The May Blog Hop is just around the corner...mark your calendars for May 2nd as you know there will be great inspiration for the new stamp release and prizes to be won.
Happy Crafting,
Penny
